Thirteen walks with the others. The details of his vision were mostly gone now which saddened him.

When Cerise spoke to him he nodded.

"Yes m'am." The exhaustion was more mental than physical but he would try to get by.

He saw Avarae and could notice how uncomfertable she looked. After what he had heard he could guess why.

"Uhm... I'll stay by you if it makes you feel better..."

He was very awkward showing concern for others but returning the favor was the least he could do.

  Matt finally arrives saluting and apologizing for his tardiness. he inform Lt. Cerise that the medical staff would not allow him in with all the grim from his work on Banshee squadrons mecha on him.


  @ Mirage - He smiles as he starts to turn. "a course there are lounges for officers and enlisted." he walks over to the mat. saying as he does Ill take you after class if you hang about.

  With that he calls the marines over and they begin doing warm ups for combat training.


  @ Thirteen - Aravae grabs your hand with both of hers as she steps slightly behind you. whispering; "thank you." you can sense her fear and anxiety in her voice.

@Gargoyle/'Joker'

Mirage nods and picks the pace back up on the treadmill to get the rest of her run in.  Afterwards she stretches while observing the marine combat training, comparing notes to it and her own training.

@ Mirage - As you watch you see he is actually teaching them commando throws and take downs. he catches you watching him and gives you a smile.

  the others take the opportunity and look over their shoulders in your direction too. it takes a moment to get his class back into order and back to their exercise for the day.

She nods to Joker, when he smiles to her, no smile returned.  She gives a stern look to any in his class that look her way.  She is very good at stern looks.

she decides to hit the weights while she is waiting and moves into upper body exercises.

Thirteen notices that his offer is not really helping. He thinks then turns to Avarae.

"We could go to the observatory instead if you want."

@ mirage - His smile did not fade, Meltroni's from NERV were known for trying to prove themselves. the others took the returned stern look for what it was worth. A fun rejection. "Pilots always get the hotties attention one of them say. before getting back into the work out.

@ Thirteen - She shakes her head no. She did not want to cause a scene and if Xavier and Sillia thought she should be here then, here was where she should be. But she smiled at his genuine attempt to comfort her.

Mirage ignores any further contact from the class and concentrates on her workout.  Best not to encourage any of them, and any retort she gave would do nothing but cause further issues.  She might take it up with him later, but best not.  She knew another from her line had.. issues.. so she tried to watch herself.

Thirteen nods and tries to figure out another way to help.

"So... uhm... you want to be a doctor right? I guess you will have an office like this one day."

Thirteen figured that a little small talk might help by providing a distraction for Avarae. He was terrible at small talk normally and now he was even more awkward as tired as he was.

@ Skyrah - Sgt. Franklin apologizes for the inconvenience. However a minute later your feeling pretty happy as the pain meds kick in. "You are hear by grounded for the next eight hours, ma'am."

  @Thirteen - Aravae smiles and nods. "Yes, i think it is good to heal those in need."

 @ Mirage - two hours pass when he approached you again, "im gonna hit the shower and ill meet you here in fifteen."

Mirage would have been cooling down herself.  She will also go shower and meet him back in 15.

She turns back up in her 'garrison uniform', including rank.  She has some impressive decorations for someone so young already.

@ Medic/Sgt FRanklin

"It's alright Sergeant. I tend to be a bit of an oddity when it comes to us kids." She said with a bit of a shrug as the shot started to kick in. She would then look towards the medic who grounded her and nodded. "Understood."

Thirteen looked around.

"Well, I mean no offense, but I hope I never have to visit your office."

He said in an awkward attempt of humor. He knew he probably would not live long enough to see her office but that would not be making her feel any better.

Once everyone has greeted Karma and settled in, Cerise begins the game. "I will whisper a short phrase into Thirteen's ear; he will then whisper what he heard into the next person's ear, and so on, until it gets to the last person. They will then say aloud what they heard, and I will say what I first whispered; and we'll see how much gets lost in translation. During this exercise we must all remain quiet, and no replies are allowed; communication only travels in one direction."

She then steps over and whispers something fairly nonsensical in Thirteen's ear. The message travels from person to person until it reaches Karma, in her bed. She says what she heard aloud, and it is recognizable, but distinctly different from what Cerise initially said.

"Ok, now we'll try the same thing, except for one change; each person will respond back saying what they believed they heard."

Cerise then begins the exercise again with Thirteen. This time the phrase at the end is nearly identical to what Cerise began with.

"The point of this exercise is that communication must be two way in order for the message to be clear. Good communication is the foundation of trust.

That's the only exercise I had planned for today. Thanks everyone for coming. And Karma, get well soon. We definitely need you out there!"

OOC: I just kinda glossed over the whole thing, since the exercise doesn't really work with text. ;) If anyone has never done this game IRL, try it sometime; the results are often quite funny.

@ Thirteen - Aravae smiles and replies; "Don't worry, I'll do house calls for you." his hand begin to grow warm and a feeling of endorphin being released makes him feel good. there are no memories triggered, but still its a great feeling.

@ Skyrah - They leave you once they are sure your good with the proper respect do to an officer. A couple moments later you feel higher then any clouds you have flown with. Your mind feels free of all barriers.

  Its about an hour later when there is a knock at your room door, the voice of the commander can be heard; "Lieutenant" he enters a moment later to give you time to hide anything you did not want him to see.
  He is holding a leather bound book in his left hand as he closes the door behind him, locking it with his own ID card. "I came to check in on you." He says a phrase which seems fuzzy and almost distant as you cannot truly make out the words. He examines your eyes for a moment. then ask you a series of questions, and you know you answered them with complete truthfulness. but you forget what he had asked and what you said as he  repeats the phrase.

  Sitting in the chair next to your desk you find yourself sitting on the lower bunk. "How are you feeling Skyrah? Sgt. Franklin informed me of your headache. and your displeasure of your art book being damaged and not having an extra." He hands her the leather bound book. When you flip through the 8"X11 book you notice the first few pages removed but the rest of the pages are free from any blemishes. "It had belong to another wraith team member. I am sure she would prefer you to have it."  his facial expression serious, "You are very interesting Skyrah, So different then Michelle and Thirteen. Of the three, your the most serious. Always so formal and controlled. The deck crew said you played a great flute concert. They seemed to enjoy it. Maybe you should preform in the officers lounge sometime."

  after a few minutes he thanks her for her time and leaves her to her own devices.


  @ Mirage - Joker comes out in his standard flight suit with only his unit and rank patches on it. Pointing at all your displayed metals. "You must be new to the Black ops team." He starts to lead her away down the corridors and one quick elevator ride, they arrive. its small dimly lit ten or so tables a couple of pool tables in the back. The soldier tending bar ask for Ids before scanning them. "You both have a three drink limit." he says as he hands back the cards. "What can I get you?"  Joker gets a Whisky and invites you to join him at a empty table.


  Everyone with Cerise - A small giggle can be heard from behind Thirteen as you each participate in Cerise's communication exercise. Its contagious and soon you are all laughing together. The atmosphere is filled with positive energy.

  However before Cerise can dismiss the group. Korvan Speaks up, "Banshee's, we have mecha and weapons check with our crews and the weapons master after lunch. Be there on time. No exceptions."

Mirage nods.  "Yes, this will be very new to me, this.. spook.. business.  I am used to combat operations."

She looks around the room with some interest, eyebrows perking, ID offered when asked for.

"Beer for me please."

She follows Joker to the table and will sit opposite him.

"It is good they have room for the gym and such as this.  I was discouraged when I found my squadron has a single common room that we were going to be very tight on this ship."

  Navy 2nd Lt. Mori (so he technically out ranks you by one bar)

   "I can tell." he replies to her combat experience.

    He laughs, "why would you be surprised? We live in deep space for years at a time. Our mission here for example is six month long. we will have one day to resupply the fleet before we join the earth reclamation fleet at moon base."
He continues his serious look just hinting a smile.
  We can even come and go to the Marcus Antonius as we please as long as we report to our CO's before we go. Pilots generally have to take their veritechs. And we can enjoy the townships amenity as long as everyone follows the rules. </G

  <Green>Yes, the gym is nice, No one recognizes non-command rank officers there, it allows us to a chance to be equals. After all enlisted cannot spar with officers in a combat ring. Its the same here. And if you had free time tomorrow instead of active duty you could order drinks till your smashed and need help to your bunk.

  As for your quarters, that is a bit strange. Officers are normally two per a room. they are not large but still more private. Your team is being moved to a enlisted level at your CO's request. Interesting isn't it.

She takes a sip of her beer, looks around a moment before looking back at Joker.
"Surprised?  Not the right word.  Just different.  Not sure about how far I can stretch my wings for now.  Think I will find out more about this place before heading out.  At least for the day.  The only pilot I have met is my Commander."

A small smile.  "I will have to find someone to work with tomorrow, I suppose.  Had a good workout today.  Skill would be good tomorrow."

She shrugs.

"I heard the conversation.  It's for esprit de`corps, I believe.  So we can all grow closer.  Not a bad idea, overall."

She grins for just a moment.

"I am a marine, complaining about things and putting up with it was part of our training."

Everyone with Cerise - Cerise follows Korvan's statement with; "Thank you sergeant for keeping us abreast; as he says - see you there after lunch. Thirteen, before you go engaging in more duties while you're, apparently, supposed to be off duty, how about I double check with your doc to make sure doing this weapons and mecha check is going to be ok?" Cerise turns to Xavier, smiling; "And you must be Xavier; apologies for not greeting you earlier.  Welcome to Banshee squad and Vulture team. Have you had a chance to meet your squad leader Miriana and your Ex-O Korvan? And who is this young one in the background? I owe her some thanks, I think."

 @ Cerise and team - Aravae stares at Cerise in wonder as she speaks to her. Its the first time she had met a Spherian. "I.. I.. I'm Aravae. Sillia is is my sister. Thirteen is suppose to take me to the observation deck later." she says nervously as she did not want to get them in trouble with their boss.



@ Mirage - "Well normally I teach my class everyday at the same time when not sent on missions. he says. But for the next month we are all going on training missions." he sips on his drink. "In fact Hyena team is going to The MA for the next to weeks so that Vultures can have the shuttle bay for training."

Mirage drinks her beer slowly and nods.

"Interesting.  So what style were you teaching there?  I took an interest in Martial Arts myself and have been practicing a mix of Tai Chi Chuan and Wing Tsun myself."

With a big smile on Xavier's face he looks at Cerise and says "Hello Ma'am, Don't worry about it, I knew you were busy. No ma'am I have not met had the pleasure to meet my Ex-O or squad leader." He pauses and gives a little laugh underneath his breath, almost like her was purring. "I have been having a little fun with my Wife Sillia, we haven't seen each other in a rather long time, and I wanted to get reacquainted with her before I went and met them. I hope that is ok with you ma'am? I should have introduced myself to you and asked beforehand."

Thirteen nods at Cerise as he agreed with Avarae. He was glad she was beginning to relax a little more.

  @ Mirage - He takes another drink; "the only martial arts form necessary for new recruits, The Marines mixed Martial form. You are more that welcome to join us if you'd like some basics refresher. It cannot hurt to have Meltroni warrior to help prep them."


  Everyone in the meeting - Aravae giggles at Xaiver's explanation for not reporting in right away.

  Sillia gives Xavier a slight back hand to his stomach as soon as Aravae begins giggling. giving him a look.

  she thought Cerise's communication game was fun. And when informed she had to report for weapons and mecha inspection, she turned to Aravae. " You will need to let Thirteen do his job, and wait till after he is finished to go to the observation deck. But we can all go get some lunch and you can do your homework while the soldiers get ready for their mission. She reaches for her sisters cheek, "Don't worry, I have Thirteen watch over me while I'm out there. And now He's here to hit the bad guys with the big guns." Her motherly instinct kicks in, looking at Thirteen "you need to report to the deck and make sure your gear is ready to go."

  When the meeting is over She leads the others to the Mess hall. to get food. "Thank you Thirteen." she leads them to sit with the rest of the squadron who decided to eat at this time as well. She enjoys the conversations and small talk looking over at her sister who stays close to Thirteen. She smiles as she takes Xavier's hand and giving it a light squeeze. her life seemed good to her as she sat with friends and her family.
