Re: Shall we

I really miss this game. I rp'd my first Flashing Blade game back in the 80's and GM one soon after. Fond memories, indeed.

I placed an add in the GM wanted a couple of times, to see if anyone would be willing to GM a FB game, but no takers. Oh, well, perhaps some day..

Re: Shall we
  Hello,

I saw that you came on to read what I said. I was looking at my old games and decided to post on here for old time sake.Would you be interested in GMing a Solo Flashing Blades game with me as the character? This is my favorite time period, and rping game.

I figure it was worth a shot at asking you. Either way, thanks for running the old FB game, for the short time I was involved. Happy Holidays.

Re: Shall we
Saw your post and wanted to address it.

As you saw one player asked if I would consider running a solo game. I considered it thought it a good way to see if I was up to run this game again.

After some thought I came up with an idea that would work and agreed.

So for now the game will restart as a solo. If that goes well I will consider additional characters. That said I probably would want any characters to be non noble. Just too hard to run for such high born types. So if I do admit more players some character changes may need to occur.

This choice was not to make others feel left out or some how not good characters, it was to allow me a limited return. Hope that makes sense.

Re: Shall we
It was a valiant effort GM. Thanks for trying again.

I have a GM wanted for Flashing Blades at the moment, but no takers. I attempted to run a FB game a few months ago, but my eyes are so bad anymore, I can only be a player for the most part. Hard to believe, as I used to GM Three different long lasting campaigns of FB back in the day.

If anyone knows of someone that might be interest in being a GM for this wonderful game, please let me know by rmail.

Thank you all,and god bless. :)

Re: Shall we

I was actually seeking a GM to run a FB character of mine. But I always wanted to try my hand at running a FB game on here. I might be convinced to do that. But please keep in mind, I suck at getting maps, pics and such on here.

I ran Flashing Blade games, table top wise for years. Three campaign to be exact. No, make that four, Three set in France, and one using High Seas, set in the new world.

What might you be interested, character wise?

Re: Shall we

It would be set in France, in the year of our Lord 1625.  I would like new characters for the game. If you choose a noble, and take title as an advantage, you roll and see what the dice gods decide.

Re: Shall we
Yes, I am trying to get a game going with no more then three players. Semi Sand Box in forum,It shall be set in the Year of our Lord Sixteen Hundred and Twenty Five. April.

Look, I am going to be totally honest here, it is the only way if I am to GM FB. Table top wise, I am a damn good GM for this game. I know the period well, and even do funny accents. lol. But seriously, I have always been intimidated by the thought of GMing on RPOL. Call it an inferiority complex , of sorts. I am not Tech Savvy, I don't know how to put maps, pictures, etc on the threads. I might make grammar mistakes, a comma goof here and what not. That is why I always shyed away from doing what I am going to attempt now. And HATE the RPOL GM controls.

But  if none of that will put anyone that wants to play off, I am willing to give it a go.

If someone wants to rp a noble fine. But if the character has "title" I as the GM roll for it, Just a table top tradition I am keeping for FB.

Re: Shall we
Still here and confused as usual with the damn GM controls. Dumas, if you would be so kind as to delete the old non active characters and places from the old adventures. When you have the time of course.

Gentleman, while I use the tables for the game, certain things can be done by rp in certain instances. A good example of how this might take place is as follows.

In the Three Musketeers, "D'Artagnan went to his fatherís old comrade in arms, Captain of the Kingís Black Musketeers. The young man had a letter of introduction from his father asking the good Captain to find place for his son. Now in the movies, Treville declined "D'Artagnan on the basis of no experience, and offered to write a letter of introduction to another Regiment. This is clap trap. As  Captain, he could have taken "D'Artagnan on as one of his aide de camps. Ergo, by rping such a scene and perhaps a good luck or another skill roll, the character finds himself in the Black Musketeers. I prefer Role play over roll play, but I do use dice when I think it warranted.

Also, any roll for stats under ten, reroll and donít take anything under a roll of ten.
Sorry for not getting this out sooner. I hope to entertain you folks, I am just so hot on the technical
