The south road!
On the first day of the trip you spot a Red carriage pulled by 8 horses. It is obviously following you from a distance. You continue on with no trouble.

On the second night you stop at an inn. The in keeper tells you a Lord and Lady from Paris asked about the Archduke's carriage then left an hour ago.

In reply to Game Master (msg #1):

Pier uses the opportunity during on the journey South to attempt to learn more about each member of the party. This included Perdu, whom he hoped could read and write, otherwise attempting to glean information about possible enemies of the Archduke would be a most difficult task.

Hopefully the Innkeeper could provide a description and possible names of the Lord and Lady, if they gave any, with this information he hopes someone in the group will know something about them.

Although the Duke seems a nice enough fellow for a nobleman, he is still a noble. That means he is not what to understand the needs of one not born into wealth. So the young rogue offers little insight into his skills or his past other than to say his is a skilled fencer and a student.

Gaston took advantage of the trip to tell stories of his military life (suitably embelished of course) and enquire as to the combat skills of the others, offering to cross blades in a friendly fencing match should anyone wish to do so.

He does find mention of this lady... intriguing though. "A mystery, danger and a beautiful woman, what more can one ask from life mon ami?" He asks the others, an amused glint to his eye.
