I hope they're holiday snaps....

:)

Surprised at his reaction? I suppose it's not every day that you get asked at an interview  about the state of your soul and whether your family will miss you if you vanish...

I think Alexander got narked that his family was brought in to it. But of course a valid line of questioning. I'm loving the grilling, it's a great way to work out how your pc thinks.

Re: OOC Posts I

Can someone tell me what the pictures are of? Are they the flying creatures that you killed? If so, are they dead or alive in the pictures?

Do I need a San roll? It would be funny if I went mad :)

It would a variety of them.  THe last of them would be the dragons eating the bodies.  I do believe that Molly had taken a picture before she flipped out.  LOL.

She would also have put in some of the pictures of the statues and stuff that Cynthia and her had categorized earlier.

Cheers I'll wait to hear from the Keeper re any san loss before posting.

It might be nice if someone gave Alexander some forewarning about what he's going to see, poor bloke. It's verging on the cruel.

Molly wasn't insulted by the lapse of memory for her uncle's paper.  She smiled and beamed at him.  "My uncle owns and operates the Scoop.  He has been...kind enough...to publish some of my pictures and articles."

Hmmm. Alexander is quite charming.

Re: OOC Posts I

Group,

The great thing about photographs in this age is that they are still somewhat blurry, at least taken at night with a fixed-focus pocket camera. (You would still need a huge flash unit that takes a single picture per bulb, as I don't think flashbulbs were yet invented.) Those pictures would be good enough for the Scoop. So you can always persuade yourself it's "something else" or the full SAN-shattering effect is not felt. If you were to use a better tripod-mounted camera then it would be a different story.

It occurs to me that at least a few of you have Mythos knowledge of at least a few percentiles. May as well give that a roll if you can...

Re: OOC Posts I

The first flash bulb came out in 1929 so still a bit early, though flash powder was used from the 1860's onwards. Lots of smoke and until refined the flash led to people often closing their eyes in pictures.

I'll get a post out in a mo re the photos.

In reply to Alexander Hussein Mahfouz (msg # 960):

That's right, there are no flash bulbs, just flash powder.

Who went actually temporarily insane? (Lost 5 SAN in one go.) Perkins and Molly? They receive 5 percentiles in Cthulhu Mythos and, subsequently, max SAN is reduced by a like amount.

He lost it, seeing his brother's body. I will allow it under the circumstances.

You found two crates in the basement secret room at the Penhew Foundation. Did anyone look inside? I seem to recall that Cynthia did.

Don't forget, you get 1 week's study since the attack on the Brotherhood at al Misr House.

Yes; Cynthia has worked up the budget, based off of her daddy's available resources for 'trips and travel'. The budget is 'infinity'. Daddy loves Cynthia.

Re: OOC Posts I

Nice to have cash.

Alexander will not only throw a lavish party at his mansion to welcome you all into Cairo society (If you so wish), but will also bring you to all the best clubs and shows in town.

Unless you plan for this trip to be hush hush, in which case Alexander should be informed that everything needs to be done secretly.
