i think it would make sense for Matt and Chalky to know JM. He did serve in Egypt and Palestine during the war.

Otherwise there are two NPC pilots, Roger and Karlheinz. Maybe they could meet up with them drinking in a Cairo dive bar that caters to aviators, especially those looking for work, like straight out of a pulp adventure?

The rest of the group is done with the scene involving the Mirror. It is night, they could then head there to pick the pair up. Adventure ensues!

Perhaps Matt and Chalky reach out to JM knowing he is in town.  He'd know them by reputation and through mutual friends at the very least and would be receptive to meeting for a cold beer or two at the very least.

JM has his aircraft at a British military airport so his presence would be known to the aeronautical community.  With his work in the War and running his air service he should have a fairly high profile.  I'd guess that just a bit of asking around would gain you his location and a note sent by a mutual friend should connect us.

We could meet at Alexander's house or at a western hotel for a set of cold ones.

In discussions with the GM we've settled on Matt and Chalky being based at a little aerodrome outside Cairo. They pop in frequently to pick up parts and fuel. I'm thinking they may have access to a truck but will definitely have at least one horse.
While being based outside Cairo they definitely frequent the city regularly

I'd think that there would be any number of small aerodromes around the outskirts of the city.  That would be quite convenient.
