I'll check it out, and see if my Muse clicks with it.

Hey, I'm in that game. I'm Night Watcher. Small world, eh?

Re: OOC: Talk the talk before you walk the walk.

I'd be more likely to recommend "Thankless Jobs" run by warjoski, personally. Much further from sanity... and that's without taking into account the characters so far only seen in little news updates, such as the woman who eats satin.

In reply to Daniel (msg #87):

Yes, I know. I think you can guess who my two characters are there, although being a day ahead of the heroes I'm waiting for time to sort of catch up. And for the GM to figure out what NPCs are.

Re: OOC: Talk the talk before you walk the walk.

I'm guessing, Tony, that you're Professor Popper and Anonymous Clown?

*smiles* And I was assuming that Daniel was Night Watcher, since he doesn't have a decription.

Tony, why are you badmouthing the GM in the OOC?

In ours, or that one?

I was pointing out why, I suspect, that General Gloom quit that game. I discussed it with the GM further via PMs.

Re: OOC: Talk the talk before you walk the walk.

I'll check them out.

*smiles*  Tony, I guess I can see that you were trying to answer a question in the OOC that was asked in the OOC, but it's really uncool to bad-mouth a GM in OOC.  You probably should have gone directly to PMs if you thought the GM was a fault.

Just promise me that you have a problem with anything I'm doing here that you'll send a PM first.

I've never entirely grasped what this concept of "cool" is, I'm afraid.

*smiles*  I can never tell if you're being ironic or not.

It's considered a bit impolite to criticise someone in front of others, especially if you haven't mentioned your criticisms to them already.

Which character do you play under him, Nagi?

This is weird. I keep entering and leaving the game board, but the cast list still says that the last time I was on was yesterday.

I know. It jumped to the correct readings once I posted. But it was weird.

Re: OOC: Talk the talk before you walk the walk.

And on other news, the Halloween doggy dinner went well. I got it later in the afternoon/evening than I'd hoped, but once I got through the shell it was a delicious crab. Not particularly scared, though... possibly the tank at the store was more stressful than being attacked by a small werewolf.

Re: OOC: Talk the talk before you walk the walk.

I'm having a quiet night at home.  I called in sick to work since my upper shin near the knee is very painful.
I can walk but not without pain.    I was hoping a day off and some ice would help, but I'll have to go to the doctor tomorrow.

Re: OOC: Talk the talk before you walk the walk.

Do you have any idea what caused it? Is there swelling or skin changes?

Does using a large branch to help walk relieve some of the pain?

Re: OOC: Talk the talk before you walk the walk.

*chuckles*  I don't live in the 1700s over here, big guy.  I can do better than branches if I wanted to.

It's not swollen, or red.  It's just painful, especially when I move the knee, and it's nearly buckled on me a couple of times, though not badly.  I'm thinking that there's an inflammation in the tendons or cartilage between the shin and knee.

Re: OOC: Talk the talk before you walk the walk.

hmmm, have you done anything lately that might have caused it? twisting in odd ways? fell down? lift something heavy? stumble?

off hand it sounds like a pinched nerve.... but without knowing more about whats up its hard to say...

I have arthritis in my hips, and gods it sometimes hurts like hell to walk too long, or go up and down stairs...

Re: OOC: Talk the talk before you walk the walk.

Last night at work I was in a fairly sedentary position, but I had a tall stool to sit on, and hopped on and off it several times to answer the phone and other things.
It was a concrete floor, but I hadn't thought it was that bad.  I certainly didn't think that I was hitting the floor hard or anything.

Re: OOC: Talk the talk before you walk the walk.

bone shards are possible... all you need is one chipping off and it can hurt for a while... granted it could just be a pinched nerve... or... hmmm...

The other possible thing is that the cartilage between your bones might have gotten flattened... get that pinched too far and you can cause some damage...

Yes, I was thinking before about a cartilage of tendon inflammation.

*sighs*  I've got some sick time, but I hate to waste it.

better to use it and get better, then to not and get worse and have to take far more time off.

Well, if you are sick, than you are sick. These things do happen, wuf.
At least it it very unlikely to be contagious.
