Re: Announcements
It's been a bit of an ongoing challenge that I have a strange work schedule.
Four days of work where I can't really DM and then four days off where I'm totally free to DM is a strange mix of famine and feast.
So far, hopefully, it's been working for the most part. However, I've noticed that several times, in many of my games, there's been a long lull as I wait for party members to make a roll or a quick decision, and perhaps because of busy lives and such, sometimes I seem to use up all four days off waiting around.
I don't want to cheat busy players, but I also don't want to make others wait for weeks for simple decisions.
So here's my solution:
Like in some games that I'm a player in currently, I'll put in a time limit as such:
When I'm on my last day off, and ready to head back to work the next day, if there's a roll I need people to make or a decision they need to voice, everyone has until I return from my four days of work to post, or I'll move forward.
If, however, I request a roll or a decision during my days off, I'll wait 2 days for a response post. So if I ask on my first day off, I'll give the players until my 3rd day off to answer. If I ask for a post on my 2nd day, I'll wait until my 4th and final day off.
If I ask on my 3rd day off, I'll let the players have until after my four days of work as well.
It might not make a huge difference, but hopefully it will cut down on the weeks spent waiting for every single player to post.
And apologies in advance if this feels too rushed for anyone. If I must roll for anyone, I'll promise to be fair and impartial.
Any questions, please feel free to ask in the OOC thread or a PM.
