RULES AND POLICIES

**For Your Protection**

  1. The purpose of this is to get everyone in RPOL together as friends as well as encourage more people to join RPOL for the purposes of playing games. This is a social networking place within RPOL only. (Do not use this place for dating.)

  2. Above all else, abide by all the rules in RPOL and their Terms of Service (TOS) anybody who doesn't will be reported to the Administrators. The same is true for those who advise others, or encourage other people, not to abide by the TOS.

  3. This is actually just an idea and I do not know if it will really work out. The Administrators reserve the right to control or close down the RPOL Social Network for any reason they choose.

  4. The GM reserves the right to control any information they deem harmful to other people and to RPOL itself.

  5. The GM has the right to modify the RPOL Social Network for the purposes of developing it further.

  6. Flaming, spamming, obscenities, gossip mongering and any form of harassment will not be tolerated and will merit you with a ban.

  7. You are not allowed to give your or anybody else's personal information outside of RPOL here. (Ex. real name, social security number, credit card number and so on.)

  8. You can reveal information about your age, gender, occupation, affiliations, nationality, school, workplace, siblings and background. However, you can only do so at your own discretion.

  9. You can link outside of RPOL as long as it doesn't eventually lead to something malicious or intrusive.

  10. You cannot link or recommend social networking sites like Friendster, Multiply or Myspace.

  11. Anybody using this for identity theft or soliciting will be reported to the Administrators  and will be dealt with the full extent of the law.

  12. You are not allowed to create a game in here. Create them using RPOL itself.

  13. You are not allowed to use this game to circumvent the rules of another game in RPOL or of RPOL itself.

  14. Handle your personal information with great caution. The GM is not liable if the information here in this game has been used at the expense of its members, members of RPOL or anybody else outside of RPOL.

  15. However, the GM will assist in helping the law and the administrators of RPOL catch anybody who uses this site with malicious intent.

  16. You are not allowed to advertise or promote adult games or anything with adult content here. This is in order to protect minors who are part of the Social Network or just browsing through it.

  17. Your Personal Information and RPOL Information will be shown publicly in your character description. You do not need to give information that you do not want to show publicly unless they are required. If they are required, you still need to give them to the GM but request that they be displayed as "NA" or "Not Applicable". If you wish to change or delete non-required information about yourself, you can send a request to the GM to do so.

A Message from the GM-Team

The GM-Team is always happy to welcome new people in the RPOL Social Network. The GM-Team is composed of the Primary GM and a group of Co-GM who facilitate the day to day functions of the RPOL Social Network. Give us PM if you need any help or assistance in any part of the RPOL Social Network. We will respond to your PM as soon as we can.

The following are the current members of the GM-Team

Primary GM
- Zephydel

Co-GM
- Wildcard
- CuteSue

Like the Primary GM, the Co-GM has authority in this game. However, they also have responsibilities in this game as well.

  1. They both have to make sure that the RPOL Social Network is running well in compliance with the Admin's rules and policies (For example the RPOL Terms of Service)

  2. They both have to make sure that the RPOL Social Network is running well in complaince with it's own rules and policies.

  3. They both have to make sure that the players are well accommodated. and treated with equal respect. This is especially towards newcomers to the RPOL Social Network.

  4. They both should listen carefully to the concerns and suggestions of other players, no matter how serious or trivial it may be. But at the same time, they have to be decisive to avoid obstruction.

  5. They both should be an example to other members in the RPOL Social Network. They should at all times conduct themselves in a calm, polite, clear and dignified manner. As much as possible they should both be professional.

  6. They both should not engage in practices that are deceptive, unfair, self-serving or detrimental to other members. Again, they both should serve as an example to other members since they are in a position of leadership.

  7. While they both have authority, they are not supposed to be petty tyrants either. They should not absolutely impose their will (especially their opinions or their beliefs) on other players.

  8. The Primary and Co-GM(s) should always consult with each other. This is especially when new updates and changes are to be made in the RPOL Social Network, it's rules and policies and when dealing with serious problems.

  9. The Primary GM and Co-GM(s) should always keep each other posted concerning information inside and outside the RPOL Social Network. This is especially with new updates concerning RPOL itself.

The above guidelines are both fundamental and important to the Primary GM and Co-GM.

The Primary and the Co-GM(s) are equally accountable to each other. The Primary GM cannot be removed from position. But if they do not abide by these guidelines, the result will be the complete failure and discontinuation of their game. On the other hand, a Co-GM can be removed if (and only if) 3 conditions are met. These conditions are...

  • Completely objective and irrefutable evidence of serious wrongdoing
  • Complaints from 3 or more members
  • Permission from the Primary GM (as an arbiter) to remove them as Co-GM

Co-GM(s) are also protected from any false complaints against them just like any other member in the Social Network.

There should at least be a GM for every 12 players in the RPOL Social Network. Right now the social network has the Primary GM and 2 Co-GM. if the social network has 36 or more players, a player will be selected or appointed as new Co-GM by the GM-Team as soon as possible.

The GM-Team will select or appoint a player to be a new Co-GM based on the following criteria. All of these criteria should be met. These criteria can change from time to time but the changes will be announced.

  • The number of posts they have should be higher than most players.
  • They are willing to take on the responsibility of being a Co-GM
  • They should at least demonstrate these abilities... Impartial. Reasonable. Responsible. Accountable. Ethical. Helpful. Humble. Polite. Decisive.
  • Has never broken the rules and policies of RPOL or the RPOL Social Network.
