Re: Arkrim's Room

Actually, that was probably me.   I didn't do it on purpose, though.  It just kind of happens to people who spend time around me.
(which explains all the confused expressions from people I talk to).

And the white queen WAS pretty butch, to be honest, so it's not that far off.

Re: Arkrim's Room

hmm, I was too obsessed with the story to notice how the white queen looked...

but she was played by Charlize Theron wasn't she? So, yes, she is a strong woman

Re: Arkrim's Room

You're thinking of the Snow White movie coming out.

The White Queen in the Narnia movie was Tilda Swinton.   Also a strong and beautiful woman who does a queen very well.

Re: Arkrim's Room

damn, I mixed up two different movies...

also, they took the wrong actress to play snowwhite... She can never surpass Charlize Theron in beauty... It's not in her bone-structure

Shoulda picked someone, else... No idea who...

Re: Arkrim's Room

There should be a number of younger actresses who can be at least believable as being as pretty as Charlize Theron.
Not many, God knows, but a few.

I'm always up to let Kristen Stewart do something non-vamp related, but you're right about the casting.

Re: Arkrim's Room

they could also had not casted Charlize as the queen...

some one with less beauty, but still believably enough so there would be anything to surpass...

Oh well, we shall see if it is worth anything

Re: Arkrim's Room

I can see you're point, but having a queen who's not stunning might have undermined the whole "made more beautiful by magic" bit.

But the movie looks fun.  They have Thor in it, so that's a plus.   :)

The new snow white move: Snow White and the Huntsman looks cool. An epic spin on fairy tales is always a plus.

Re: Arkrim's Room

My bro and his girlfriend just got back from watching it. They said it sucked. Great graphics but terrible acting and directing. This saddens me. :(

That's too bad.   I wanted Thor to do well, and I love Cherize Theron.    And I was hoping that Kristen could be  known for something besides being the vapid vampire groupie.

Re: Arkrim's Room

Yeah, but that is probably because of Twilight. Though I haven't seen anything else she is been in and is probably better than that.

Eh, Twilight. Now there's a movie series we all HOPED would suck, KNEW would suck, DID suck and still made millions. *cries*

Re: Arkrim's Room

She was supposedly good in that movie she did about The Runaways.   But I didn't see it, so I'm not sure.

I was more thinking about photos she takes. She always seems to be trying to pass off the same feeling. Dead fish or plank.

I want Chris to do well, though.   He was on Conan O'Brien the other night and he was hilarious.

Ah, the Thor actor. Gotcha. Yeah, I don't really follow actors' careers. I don't need to know anything about a celebrity to appreciate their work. :P

Me neither.   I find myself being nosy sometimes, but it's mostly that I'll follow an good actor from movie to movie, as I will a good writer or director (on the rare times I know them).

Re: Arkrim's Room

Kristen Stewart was good in the Panic Room with Jodie Foster thought...

but that was ages ago, and sice then she sorta forgot how to act...

Which makes it even sadder, the fact she used to be good
