It's still starting up here in the states, but we'll see how they handle it.

I've always wanted to go to Japan.  It sounds beautiful.

At least under normal circumstances.

Well, people back in the states don't have this weird idea that a cheap mask alone will stop microscopic particles from infecting them. So as long as people actually keep washing their hands with soap, I'm optimistic.

Japan is beautiful, and in a few weeks when the sakura bloom it's gonna be even more beautiful. But yeah, I wouldn't recommend visiting any time soon, for sure.

Yes, we're trying to get the hand washing going.    It's an uphill battle

Howdy folks! Good to see some of ya'll are alive and staying far away from the coronavirus...which primarily spreads from people not washing their hands and touching on people who don't wash their hands.

I went to the store the other day and they're all sold out of hand sanitizer and bottled water. But they're FULLY stocked on hand soap...because people will panic to buy supplies like it's the end of the world but REFUSE to wash their hands...

Good to see you, Arkrim.  Yes, people love their instant cures but not working for basic hygiene.    Good times

We've been sold out of masks and hand sanitizer for a while now, but yeah, it's weird, but people over here don't seem to believe in soap and warm water. Public bathrooms don't even have either half the time. And that's scary.

(And we had a weird toilet paper shortage for a while because everyone thought they wouldn't be able to get it with factories shutting down in China, but despite all that panicking, most toilet paper in Japan is actually made in Japan. Funny thing.)

What's so strange about this is that good hygiene is common knowledge these days among the civilized world.

People just don't PRACTICE the use of that common knowledge. People nasty.

Grizzly that is sadly...very true.

I can't tell you how many people I've seen leaving a restroom without washing their hands, and how many of them give me a strange look after I suggest it to them, as if I'm the weirdo.

Sigh.. been off doing discord.
My company is checking to see if they are going to bother renewing the contract where I am now they leave so will I.
But here I spend all day taking the paper from people whose profession takes them all over america,  south, central, and north.

Meh.. getting older.
working security at a tractor-trailer gate for a warehouse.
Then one January with covid winding down..
and My taking papers from drivers from all over the country.
I realized I had as many reasonably serious falls in that month as the whole year before doing the same things.
It was early retirement but still got Social Security.

That's a good reason,  certainly

I would grin as I said "I wouldn't be worrying if I got squished by a tractor-trailer but the driver would be having a fit if I tripped and fell under the truck."

I fell under a truck once.   I definitely don't recommend it.   :)

I once got hit by a Toyota.  Oh, what a feeling.

As a Kid forever ago I fell under a farm wagon..
It was empty and not really very heavy.
But it was traumatic until I realized that.
