Kim being a humble ship captain and fisherman by trade asks. "Do we have enough C-4 to destroy this strip of sand making it ---Ya need a boat to go further---"

Of course. The driftwood forms a "spine" down the middle of the spit. Except for high tide there is exposed beach along both sides. And you can even walk among the driftwood, it's not packed that tight. But keeping low and crawling or making your way down the driftwood would provide the most cover.

Re: Out of Character Posts I

That's what I was wondering too.  Looks like the driftwood will help screen our movement as we move down the sandbar to the island. Especially when it gets full dark.  What is the status of the moon and clouds?

I'll have to generate the weather. Luckily, TMP 4th ed. has detailed weather tables. It doesn't do moon phases but I have the in-game date and can look it up online!

Climb down in darkness? (There are woods down the slope and all the way to the sand so you will be covered either way.) You should post that in-character.

No... not unless it is already dark.

I was planning on moving in cover as much as possible while it was still light out side.

I don't think we brought climbing gear.  We might have rope if it's in the basic equipment issue.

The pictures I've seen look pretty rugged. Not a sheer face but a fairly steep cliff.

The rocky bluff was not high but it was rugged. They would be best able to climb down now in the light.

PD Note: Did anyone bring climbing gear? Either way, please make a Climb check, normal difficulty.

Pretty sure we took climbing gear because we needed it to access that submarine?

Great point. But it might be on the boat, as you were not going to recce the sub at the moment but check out the smoke plume. Still, you might have needed it to climb up the cliffs in the first place. Sure, I'll allow it.

Climb check Difficulty is Routine (+20% to effective skill) using ropes.

Tony

How will you set the ambush? A line just inside the tree line? Who is where?

Usually if the TL wants to set up an ambush, it's their call on who goes where. But if Jimmy  wanted people to organise themselves in-game it didn't seem clear. Let's assume it is, then, by saying Jimmy whispered instructions and tried to figure out who, if anyone, was skilled at martial arts. As well, who has a suppressed pistol.

In reply to James (Jimmy) Gerrold MacGuire (msg # 789):

That's the problem with composite teams, you can't always know everyone's skill set!

Currently, you have:

Jimmy, M16A1/M203
Tim, Stoner Mk. 23 SAW
Lena, Stoner M23 Carbine
Captain Kim, Stoner M23 Carbine, M79 GL
Elliot, MAC-10/HK69 GL

The rest (Andy, Filat, Leaf) are on the boat.

Hi everyone,

I'm off on vacation for the week until next Sunday. I'll check in every few days but probably won't be able to take time to post without getting "the look". See you then!
