If Lina wants to make contact with the boat, she may do so. It's a Routine (+20 to skill) check.

13:00, Today: James (Jimmy) Gerrold MacGuire rolled 97 using 1d100+20 with rolls of 77.  Climb.

Should be 57, still a failure.

I am now very much regretting I was talked out of the approach of just walking the damn beach.

Thankfully, no one's gonna fall to their doom unless they critically fail. But failure does mean you take more time and possibly make noise or make movement that can be seen and therefore they could be spotted.

Everyone who fails, make a Stealth check!

Thanks,

Tony

09:19, Today: James (Jimmy) Gerrold MacGuire rolled 1 using 1d100 with rolls of 1.  Is Jimmy Stealthy?

Somehow, Jimmy is stealthy at falling down the cliff... possibly whispering "Ouch"  "Oof"  "That'll leave a mark"  "Mother"

It sounds like you're all hiding. Everyone please make a Stealth check, +40 (Easy) due to the trees that go almost all the way to the beach.

Jimmy can make an Observation check. I am assuming he is using binos. No modifiers.

Everyone else please get their posts in on what they are doing.

Fortunately, in a system where lower is generally better (rather, getting as close to your skill without rolling over) the +40 for this being an Easy task is added to your skill level (52) for an effective skill of 92. A roll of 74 means 7 Degrees of Success. So on target!

A roll from Flash would be great!

As for the main team, anyone going to help the natives bring their canoes in?

Re: Die Rolls

Ralph's Firearms/Pistol is a base 67%.

No mods for lighting, cover, etc. Point-Blank range (<5m) is +20%. While technically movement is separate from firing (separate actions) you suffer no penalty if you move although Aimed fire is not possible over a walk. (And even then, Aiming only negates the Snap Shot penalty). Also, no recoil penalty for additional shots per Combat Turn.

So his to-hit is 87% per shot. As Ralph moved (1 Action) he cannot take additional Aim actions, although it's assumed he has taken a prior Aim action to negate the Snap Shot penalty and acquire the Hi-Power's iron sights. If you aim for centre-of-mass (torso) it's -20%.

Basically, roll to-hit 3 times. His lower legs are likely obscured by the wardroom table, as are Ralphs.
