"I've seen one of those before. The Dean of Artifice and Transmutation at the Academy has something like that. Good luck and make us proud." Oliva Praxa comments before finally leaving the box.

After seeing to Morien's wounds the medics moved on to Dustil. OOC: You guys are all at full hp now.

Re: Festival Day 2
Aden says farewell to Tio, and after the others are ready, he suggests they walk towards Martin & Kern as they talk.

"We know the first two rooms of the gauntlet, because that's as far as our first attempt got us.  The first room is 10' wide raised pathway over a lava pool far down below.  If you fall, you'll be teleported out of the room before hitting the lava.  There are gaps in the pathway, the furthest 20' across.  Fire columns occasionally spurt up through the gaps, but not that often.  There are bladed fans swinging across the walkway and gaps on pendulums. So basically your dodging blades and leaping chasms 10'-20' across."

"The second room is also a suspended walkway. A 10' path leads to a circle I believe 20' in diameter, with the room exit behind.  In this circle is a powerful minotaur.  He was using some type of powerful ball and chain with a 20' reach.  Below this pathway is a drop and a spider-web that spans the room before you fall into nothing.  And of course there are a few large spiders on these webs to mess with you if you get knocked down."

"The minotaur really makes you pay if you let your guard down at all. (He seems to have the feat combat reflexes)  And that weapon of his packs a punch.  My obscuring mist seemed to help last time, as it kept him from attacking us from a distance. (no AoO since he can't see you, 50% miss chance into total concealment)  Of course that makes it harder for everyone but me to see, but it definitely allows for a better chance of either sneaking across or positioning around him for tactical combat."

"I'm not sure what the best way to take on that room is.  We can try to get around the minotaur either with stealth, acrobatics, or magic.  Or we can try to defeat him, but he seemed to take some damage last time.  But there are more of us this time, and we'll be better prepared."

After the medics have finished their treatments you follow them out and exit the Arena; making your way now to the ever familiar Martin and Kern Outfitters shop not far from the Heart of Arcadia. AS you walk in the Older gentleman named Craig who assisted you previously greets you.

"Welcome back Champions. Congratulations on today's victory. Your group has been doing quite well this year. I am looking forward to seeing how far you can go. Now how May I be of assistance."

"Thanks Craig, we do our best. Dustil especially kicked some ass today.  By the way, these are our new teammates."

"We're interested in some magical item that can offer bulk healing charges for the group. We know a wand of cure light wounds is pretty economical, but were wondering if your fine establishment has anything else to offer.  We're looking to get as much bang for our coin as possible."

"We may also want to purchase some scrolls to prepare for our next attempt at the gauntlet.  So, you have anything in mind?"

Re: Festival Day 2
"It's expensive, but customers have had us create rods that lightly heal many individuals at once. they can be made either to have limited uses a day and then stop working or to have a finite number of uses but no limit on how many you can use in a siting. such a rod would would 35,000 gold and would take over a month to make. It could be made quicker if you pay for expedition, but expediting items being crafted with powerful magic sometimes has consequences."

OOC: basically a rod of cure light wounds mass. It would be made wither with the rod rules or with the wand rules. Rod rules would give you limited uses per day of a couple different spells. wand rules would give you 50 charges of cure light wounds mass. the advantage would be one uses could heal up to nine individuals with one use so it would almost be like having 9 cure light wounds wands except faster and would heal more. 1d8+9 vs 1d8+1. I'll let people be targeted more than once, but no more than three times.

Dustil gave a snort at Aden's praise. "We ALL kicked ass t'day, an' more t'come t'morrow!" He then restrained a sigh as he tried not to remember how the "we" had so drastically changed. Gods but he needed to drink.

He let Aden and the person talk about the healing option, but he also reminded, "Also, we were told that there was a deal worked out for select items to be chosen from for the victory today?"

Morien draws his scythe and holds it in as an unthreatening manner as possible. "In addition to whatever deal Tio has worked out with you, I would like to trade this in for some store credit to increase my limit if it is at all possible.

I have a blade being forged for me. I would like it enchanted and expedited if at all possible. I would also like to purchase a Belt of Giant Strength.

However, if it is at all possible, I would like to work out a slightly different deal with you regarding the sword. I have the strong belief that only the names of those who have personally forged or taken a life with a blade deserve to have their names etched upon it. A sword is a sacred thing to me and I cannot, in good conscience, wield one that has been marked as an advertisement tool.

Perhaps we could work out something else both more appropriate... and more visible... to compensate? Like a cloak emblazoned with your logo? I could wear it in public and during the events."

Re: Festival Day 2
"I appreciate your sentiments, but I'm not sure if a cloak is proper advertisement for our wears. The sword is something people can see in action and the belt is something many of our intended clientele can recognize as a support item. A cloak at first might seem like a larger and better advertisement, but then what happens when you get into a fight and it gets torn, tattered, ripped, stained, burned, disheveled so that the logo can't be seen as well, ect. Maybe if we could put the logo on the chest piece of your armor and MARTIN & KERN in large and bold letters on the back."

Morien nearly choked at the prospect of having advertisements on his armor. He seemed to turn ill at the very thought of it. He stammered as he spoke. "My a-armor?"

He took a moment to recover, though he had yet to recover all of the color from his face. "I-I think I'll just wait for my sword to be completed normally without the enchantment and put my remaining balance toward Aden's request."

Morien placed the scythe on the counter, his hands were actually shaking. "I'll take the belt of giant's strength though."

Regarding the rod of mass healing, Aden whistled. "Sounds like a nice item to have, but currently too rich for our blood, and too long a wait to meet our needs.  But, should we continue dominating in the tourney and accruing winnings, we may have something like this commissioned.  In the meantime, do you perhaps carry a normal wand of Cure Light Wounds?"

Morien half turned before walking out. "Perhaps it would be better if I were to simply sell my scythe to you and use the gold to settle up the difference for my belt of giant strength. Then I could put the money toward my sword without the restriction, yes?"

As Drazgar exited, Aden shrugged. He couldn't hold an attempt to make a buck and better market themselves against the establishment. It was their livelihood.

To Craig, Aden replied with uncertainty, "As in, would I rather buy a wand of cure moderate wounds or cure light wounds?  Or are there other differences I'm unaware of?  I'm thinking a wand of cure light wounds is our best bet for now."

Re: Festival Day 2
"Basically. It's hard to beat a wand of cure light wounds for ecomony, but cure moderate heals more so you could get away with less charges. There is also a new product we are test marketing. Right now It's just called "The Heal Stick" there are a few Names we are currently feeling out for it. Basically it works similar to a lay on hands. It's very simple to operate too. You just press it against a wounded creature and the longer it is pressed the more the creature gets healed. Unfortunately they run out of power eventually, but it's doesn't have the waste that wands of cure spells occasionally have. The cost depends on the healing reservoir of the individual stick."

OOC: basically each of these heals ticks has a certain healing limit. for example lets say 100 hp. you can control how much of the hp is discharged into the individual. after you use up the reservoir it's useless. that's how it is used outside of combat. In combat it's a standard action require a touch to the target and the target heals for 10 hp.

Re: Festival Day 2
"Yes anyone can use them and how much they cost depends on the type and the size of the reservoir. There are rechargeable and non rechargeable and they come with with 4 different grades of reservoirs; minor, moderate, major and massive. they range in price from 1000 gold to 50,000 gold."

OOC: a non rechargeable minor heal stick has a reservoir of 150 hp and is 1000 gp. A moderate non rechargeable has a reservoir of 300 and costs 3000 gp. A major non rechargeable has a reservoir of 800 hp and costs 10,000 gp. A Massive non rechargeable has a reservoir of 2000 hp and costs 35k.

rechargeable ones cost 3 times as much as the non rechargeable ones, but you can refill them by using magical healing effects on them. so channeling energy, lay on hands, cure spells, potions and the like can refill them. how much the effect heals for is how much is put back in. they still have the same max reservoir though.

Re: Festival Day 2
Dustil wandered around the store a bit as Aden pondered. He picked up a few items to inspect them, but kept setting them back down. It was obvious he didn't know what he wanted really and was just browsing.

He walked past a flask and then stopped suddenly. He turned back to it and examined it. "Oh. Oh ho ho ho. What have we HERE?" He had a quick hushed conversation with the person in the store and then grinned from ear to ear. "I'll take it!!! Whatever's left use t'help Aden buy a stick or wand, an' no that ain't innuendo."

He let out a chuckle, still grinning as he walked back over to stand next to Aden once more.

After a couple of minutes, Morien walks back in the store, a new sword on his back and a leather belt around his waist... it looked rather strange in contrast to his icy blue armor.

He approached Aden. "I think I have a little left on my tab after selling my scythe and using my store credit. Use it for whatever you need."

OOC: after getting a new sword and a belt, I have 300gp left over for healing supplies.

Aden works out who's paying what for the wand:

Morien: 125
Dustil: 125
Aden: 500
The newbies each owe Aden 125 when it's not going to leave them broke.

Re: Festival Day 2
To Craig, Aden inquires, "I'd like to upgrade my masterwork chain shirt to an enchanted chain shirt (+1).  And I'd like to trade in my regular buckler for an enchanted one (+1).  How long would it take to enchant my masterwork chain shirt?  Or any chance I can trade it full-value for an enchanted one?"

OOC: Hoping to walk out of the store with +1 chain shirt, +1 buckler, and not having to sell current masterwork chain shirt for only half value.  If so, assuming d20pfsrd prices, it'd be 1000gp for upgrading the chain shirt, 1155gp for +1 buckler (5gp+150masterwork+1000enchant).  +500gp for wand = 2655, leaving 845 out of store credit, just enough for me to pick up a belt of tumbling if available.
