Sereno has one of the romance languages, and is clever with them, but he doesn't know French.  Maybe Ulciscor does?

Only Mandarin over here. Jack still needs to learn Cantonese so Catherine stops talking past him.

I probably need to be quiet for about a week and a half; I have a final on the 15th, same day as a lab report, and a final on the 19th.

Re: Main OOC 2

Just to clear things up with the scene that just happened between Bridget and her mother and Nikolai: That was far from the biggest drama happening at the wedding. As far as anyone outside of the Concord is concerned, Bridget and her mother, neither of whom are known for being calm and level-headed, had a spat. Nikolai tried to break it up, then someone else walked over and calmed it down.

That is nothing compared to the heiress who found out her former bestie was sleeping with the ex boyfriend of the heiress, while being engaged to a slightly scandalous internet model with fake tits. The engagement between the former bestie of the heiress and the most popular girl on instagram is being loudly denounced by the heiress as a slutty publicity stunt. Plus, the heiress and the internet model, who is present, are wearing the same dress in slightly different colors. The ex boyfriend in question is sitting back and enjoying the show, because boobs are probably going to fall out of dresses sometime soon. Scandal.

Hey, every column where she writes about some skanky heiress' affairs or some actor's coke-fueled racist rant, is one where she's not writing about any of us. Consider it a blessing.

I shall.  Just as David considers it a minor blessing that he's far enough removed from mortal politics/unimportant enough for Isabella not to bother writing about him, regardless.

Also, I shall try and reply later, but tonight, I get to take care of taxes.  Wheeeeee.  So....yup.

This is why I wanted Unseen Sense: Talecrafting, so Sereno can start screaming when a hook's put in front of him.

The wedding thread looks done to me.  If anyone wishes to add anything more, please do so soon.  Otherwise, I will probably conclude it this weekend and press forward back in QB proper.

Re: Main OOC 2

I don't recall mentioning this in the past, but I get really offended when St. Patrick's day comes around and all of the "holiday" shirts are about alcohol.

If you guys are doing anything for the day, please observe the cultural and religious aspect as well, not just the drinking and wearing green. Would mean a lot to me.

I don't drink and it's Sunday anyway, which means going to church.

I'm more of going to be honoring the time honored practice of working my ass off to finish homework due on Monday.  Then it's time to deal with studying for immunology...

I will honor the memory of St. Patrick by kicking a frat boy, as God intended.

Also, what the Christ just happened.

Re: Main OOC 2

... Oh yeah, Sereno has to figure out what everyone is getting.

Nikolai's getting a Newton's Cradle with a note saying "Well, someone had to say you have balls."

Jack's getting a homemade 15-pound Snickers, because nothing says thanks for employing me like a diabetes challenge.

David's getting two scarves, with a note saying to send the other to his girlfriend so they can think of each other while wearing them.

And Ulciscor's getting tickets to a symphony because it'll take a few months for Sereno to work up the nerve to use Lily's suggestion.

In reply to Jack Abraham (msg # 34):

Hmm?

*checks Local News thread*

Oh.

Balls.

*goes and puts on the Sherlock Holmes hat*

Also, whose territory do the docks fall under?  Because if they're claimed, we've got even more problems.

Also also, just because more problems, right?  Charity's in the hospital with super-critical injuries.  Werewolves regenerate.  We may also have a masquerade breach here.

Yeah, we're boned.  *deep breath*

I believe they are mage territory... Either way, apparently Charity's in a coma...

Sereno's going to ask Kevin about permission to talk to her and use Forging the Dream.

Re: Main OOC 2

If she's at St. Catherine's, it probably means Silas Belford is looking after her, and a little bit of regeneration will be less than surprising for him.

The docks, though... not sure. If Jack can get near, he can examine stuff with his Oracle and maybe figure out who did it.

Re: Main OOC 2

Nikolai stubbornly holds onto celebration of Christmas on the 12th day (January 7th).

For Jack, two books. The first, as a joke, a copy of the Manifesto. The second, Roosevelt's Secret War. while Unsure how big Jack really is on history, he's certainly big on politics and subterfuge.

For Sereno, a coupon for a "couples massage" at a local Massage Envy.

For David, a copy of 7 Habits of Very Successful people, and a leather-bound notebook, something every man in charge should have.

mixed in for good measure are "bargain bin" CD's that only an obsessive like Nikolai would find. He took a small road trip to Amoeba Record Store in LA alone to get his head straight. Among the gifts he hands out are Steelheart's debut album, Blow My Fuse from Kix, and Tales Along the Road by Korpiklaani.

Re: Main OOC 2

For Sereno, a copy of Don Quixote, unabridged, in the original old Spanish.  (No, not an original -- regrettably, David does not have Resources OH MY GOODNESS, and so cannot purchase a 500 year-old book.)

For Nikolai, a copy of "Team of Rivals".  (It was that, or a Blu-Ray of Anastasia.  And I don't think David knows of Nikolai's interest in that bit of history.  ^_^)

For Jack, a copy of "Ghost Adventures: Season 1" on DVD, with a bottle of good single-malt Scotch and a note: "For when you need to laugh yourself silly."
--and for Princess: that set of 12 My Little Pony mini-figures, taken into the Shadow and pushed through the Gauntlet.  They therefore now exist in Twilight -- by David's best guess, that means that ghosts/spirits can physically interact with them.  Hopefully, Princess can enjoy the toys.

Re: Main OOC 2

For Sereno, a copy of Beowulf with the original Old English. Obviously not an original copy, but he should have fun comparing the translation to the original.

For Nikolai, a DVD of Fiddler on the Roof with Harvey Fierstein. Jack isn't sure how Nikolai feels about it, but it's one of Jack's favorite musicals, so...

For David, since Jack doesn't quite know what to get him, the first season of BBC's Sherlock.

Re: Main OOC 2

made a good call of team of rivals. One, that's a fantastic book that I personally enjoyed. Second, Nikolai doesn't own anything in the realm of "HD" equipment.

Being fond of "proper" musicals with "real" music in it (versus say Step Up), he will surely enjoy Fiddler on the Roof. Also in the time of year, upon coming back from LA, probably took Ms. Donolly to see Les Mes.
