Re: OOC: sixth form

What do you call a Giak with a magic orb of fire in its hands?

A self-cooking meal for a Gourgaz.

Okay, okay, I know it was bad... but let's face it, even the Darklords knew better than to trust a Giak with nothing more than a weapon.

What do you call a giak holding a sword? Anything you like, he's holding it upside down.

Re: OOC: sixth form

I'm not sure if it was clear or not, but the current lack of posts is making me post this here in hope it helps us move along from the current lack of movement within the game threads:

For the Darkland team, I'm waiting for the four of you to reach a consensus on what kind of plan you're going to follow in your attempt to free Silver Raven from the dungeons; currently we have the "I enter the dungeons alone" suggestion by Swift Fox, Dusk Rat offering the chance of doing the same herself, and Frost Ferret "prisoner ploy" suggestion, but no ideas on the actual implementations. That means that Shark has yet to suggest anything, and that your only two plans at the moment are either (A) the one that requires you to split the party and (B) one that you have no clue how to go about putting it into action.

So long as you don't reach a consensum, all four of you are free to present new plans, or to come up with ways to solve the problems of the ones you have already posted; if any of you has mechanical questions for me (DCs, duration of spells, more details on the throne rooms or enemies, anything else of the like) I'll be glad to answer, but I'm not going to pick up a plan for you - that's something you need to do as a group, so unless you ask me something, you shouldn't expect me to make any post with any kind of input in your thread.

For the Maakengorge thread, I'm waiting for Rain Feather and Sabre Fox to confirm they're up and about before we can get back to the exploring of the cave system, and as soon as we're done with that, to the main plot of your thread. Alyne is not  a light sleeper and Sun Fox was in the first watch and went to sleep later in respect to Sun Snake, so neither of them will be up until you two are - meaning, you shouldn't expect me to post in your thread either until both of you two does it first.

I hope that saying this here in public will help move things along in the game again... assuming you all still want to play, like I hope you do! ^_^

Re: OOC: sixth form

Yep, I definitely still want to play :)

Just having trouble coming up with a plan that doesn't involve us all suffering various creatively gruesome deaths, hehe.
Kind of holding off to see if Shark has any ideas to add to the mix :)

If all else fails, we might just have to abandon Silver Raven to his fate...  :(

At the risk of revealing too much, I can say that leaving without him will seriously conflict with Swift's current in-character motivations, to the point that she'll likely refuse to accept that particular option, meaning the others may be forced to leave her behind too.
(Or you could knock her unconscious and drag her out with you.  Just be sure to be very very far away from her when she wakes up again!)

We'll see what happens... :)

You think? I'm pretty sure I could have you die in the morning without impeding me in any way from then using Rain Feather's mother commiting kinslaying in the night... maybe after Sabre Fox had heroically got himself slaughtered in the evening in a fight against impossible odds to spice things up. ;P

Or... I may not. You can't know either way, though, and isn't that awesome? ^_^

I pick on him because his second name is fox. Too many foxes, they're obviously conspiring to kill us all!

Sorry, running out of time. Will try to post at lunchtime, if not and it's sunny outside, might not get around to osting until later on this evening.

So the High Priest of the Acolytes of Vashna is a rat killer?

Mention that to Dusk Rat and she'll go in there and wipe them all out single-handed for you ;)

Go back and ask Valador to swap the two groups. You guys can kill the High Priest for the shiny, while we'll alternatively sneak and stab our way through a legion of Darklanders. Sabre vs a Xagash will be a sight to see :D

Giak riot!

With Giaks, I think persuading them that the strongest person has issued secret orders to attack the weaker boss would work better. And that if the giaks don't attack now, then the strong boss will flaw them all alive afterwards.

Re: OOC: sixth form

Yeah, giaks are mostly kept in line through fear and intimidation.
I suppose if they thought that the boss they feared most had secretly ordered everyone to band together and attack the boss they feared least, and if they had significant strength in numbers they might feel brave enough to try it.
Well, until they all started getting ripped to shreds of course! :)

Depends on how long it would take the bosses to put down the riot too.  I'm not sure how much time we'll need to reach Silver Raven, given that we'd probably have to find a way past his guards first, and then get back through the hall again.

Re: OOC: sixth form

You really should focus on one problem at a time; you're at the ground floor, and Silver Raven is kept in the fourth dungeon level, meaning that, once you bypass this area (if you can, that is) you will still habe the entirety of the dungeons to cross before you get to him.

Of course, planning ahead is not a bad thing... but you should give precedence to the immediate danger. Just a tip. :)

Also, this thread is now past 990 posts, so I'm closing it. I'll open the next one in a moment! ^_^
