Re: OOC: sixth form

So we started out with a Swift Fox, a Sabre Fox and a Sun Fox, and now we have a Fire Fox? :)

Well, it at least would make it official that Fox is the most often used name among Kai Lords, wouldn't it? ^_^

And I thought I was doing well with Sun as a starting name, and now we're falling over them too.

Hmm, perhaps you and I should bump off Sun Fox to regain our uniqueness, Sabre :D

Send her to seventh heaven?

Sabre Fox:

Yep, it was named after the Kai Lord Fire Fox who started out as one of the best among the Kai, yet as time went on and he gained more abilities, he grew slower and more erratic.
Kind of a sad story really :(

Lol, there must be a way to build that in to a story somehow... keep the pay-off name to last just to see the player's reactions :D

I definitely was, hehe.
Thought I wasn't going to make that one, since my usual roll is 4 or below.

Glad to have lived to fight another day though :)

Re: OOC: sixth form

Dusk Rat! From the Maganamund Companion (the tome of all things Magnamund):

Although among the lesser-Darklords, Xagash are powerful creatures. They are always involved in complex schemes and court intrigues in attempts to ascend their evil hierarchy. To maintain their physical strength, they must devour warm-blooded creatures (preferably humans), and many of the attacks launched from the Darklands are raids to gather 'food' for these loathsome beings.

Now seeing as you don't know what a Darklord is, the description 'lesser-Darklord' is probably not very helpful, but the picture looks very like that lizard monster that ran around after Captain Kirk in that famous Star Trek episode. But they'll be bigger than that - 10-12 feet high, I imagine, though that's just my guess. So a giant lizard-man, something like that. It may say something about complex schemes above, but most of the Darklords were quite stupid, so it's unlikely that the Xagash are particularly clever. I think if there is a Nadziran running around the dungeons too, we ought to be more worried about that. :)

My best guess is that the plural is the same word, Xagash, just as with helghast and kraan and sheep. Though we're probably not going to meet any sheep. More's the pity really, 'cause their Chew Cud attack is considerably less threatening than the xagash' Massive Axe in the Head manoeuvre.

As per my post, I wondered if to get into the dungeons, most of us could pose as prisoners, but - of course - low-priority, unthreatening prisoners, not Kai. That way, we might be guarded, but only lightly (by our standards) and could likely overpower our guards after we're safely away from the big room full of scary monsters.

Re: OOC: sixth form

Hmm, okay, so Xagash are possibly not hugely clever, but as I guessed from the description they are pretty adept at smishing you into a little pile of goo with their physical strength ;).
Oh, and I think the Star Trek creature was called a Gorn, btw ;).

I also just looked up what a Nadziramin (or whatever the spelling is) is, as that is in my info post. Shape-shifting spellcasters, eh? Best stay away from that, then...or convince it to turn into a beetle and then step on it or something ;).

I'm more worried about running into the Nadziran while Frost is lugging around that crystal that has a tendency to explode violently when hit by magic, hehe.

I believe Frost Ferrert left the crystal behind before casting the illusion on the group - as otherwise it would have exploded already. It should be up atop the stairs, unless Frost can find a way to make the crystal follow along as he moved down the stairs once the illusion stopped working.

*pokes Frost curiously*

Might be funny if some giak finds it and starts trying to break it to see if there's anything inside, hehe.
