Re: Pathfinder Discussion

Pathfinder Database (of fan-created stuff):  http://www.pathfinderdb.com/

This is very well maintained and has some great stuff.

Thruxus, if you're willing to maintain your list of links in your thread, not only are you welcome to copy this one, but I, for one, would greatly appreciate it.  (I am assuming that others will post additional links.)

Re: Pathfinder Discussion

I've been seeing this E6 thing every where lately. So, after a little work, I finally found some information. For those, like myself, who are unaware of the whole E6 Pathfinder thing, you can read more about it here:

Original d20 E6: http://forum.rpg.net/showthrea...-Game-Inside-D-amp-D

And the Pathfinder mods here:

The E6 stuff looks really interesting.  Anyone tried it with Pathfinder?

In reply to Keji (msg #8):
I'm still interested if you want more players.  If the BardBarian doesn't fit with the party, I have more concepts if you're game.

It can be. Just need four players to give it a try.

Re: Pathfinder Discussion

Hmmm. If I did this, it would be with things like the First Steps series at first, with a possible 'out take episode' using pregens in something like We Be Goblins after that (You would play Pregens but the money and credit would go to you PFS characters) and after that.., I'd have to look for simple and to the point scenarios (I'm a Venture-Lieutenant so I have access to them and already know a few choices I would pick)

Re: Pathfinder Discussion

I'm fairly certain I have seen several 'start-up' but I don't think I've ever seen one get anywhere.  Granted... I had only followed them out of interest, and had not joined.  I have yet to commit the time to joining and creating a PFS character yet, although I certainly have been interested.

Re: Pathfinder Discussion

Hence my wariness..

BUT the First Step series (In Service to the Lore, Delve the Dungeon Deep and A Vison of Betrayal) are fairly short, introduce you to the factions of the Society and are scaled to put you at 2nd level by the end of them. If you're not happy with your PC build by then you can respec, choose different factions and reequip with the chronicle money you get in them.

Say.. you make a barbarian gnome.. but by the end of Intro 3, you are leaning more towards a ranger gnome.. you can sell off all the gear (with a few exceptions) and rebuild him as a ranger and carry on from there.

Like I said I'm a Venture-Lieutenant in my lodge so I'm learning to wrangle sessions at various stores and locations and have access to the Scenarios. (not to mention I've played these already)

And yes, I know the failure rate of PFS games online is fairly high.. hence my choices in the 'shorter/faster/more direct scenarios'.

Re: Pathfinder Discussion

A question for you:

In PFS are you limited to only applying one Archetype to you class, or can you apply two as per normal rules as long as neither affect the same class abilities?

Re: Pathfinder Discussion

My understanding is IF they don't share swapping the same talents and abilities it IS allowed but my experience is that you do better with just one per class

Re: Pathfinder Discussion

The question is.. would there be enough interesting to do the Intro Series (and possibly pregnes for We Be Goblins!)

*lol*

Sorry, I'm still trying to find the PFS specific rules -- never done organized play before, nor PFS. I'm interested, but I gotta get more information before I can actually play.

Re: Pathfinder Discussion

http://paizo.com/pathfinderSociety

One the right side.. there is a link.. 'Player's resources' the 'Additional Resources page' tells you want is and isn't allowed in play..and the actual guide on that page is a free download that tells you about the factions, rules of play and such.

You also have to register to get a number for play, and when I give out chronicle sheets at the end of a scenario I give out the number and (and a -1, -2 or whatever character you use)

Any particular reason why pregens for We Be Goblins?

I'm up for the intro series, personally.

Re: Pathfinder Discussion

It's a 'free rpg day' module that the society put a sheet for.. and It's a one off run. You have four pregen goblins you play and credit towards any 1st or 2nd level character you got.. I'd rather not have a player wasting time making a goblin they will only use for one module.

I'd be interested in something like this, I'd consider it a double win since the Intro series sound interesting and I've always wanted to try the "We Be Goblins" module :D
