KainTheSeeker:
It's a 'free rpg day' module that the society put a sheet for.. and It's a one off run. You have four pregen goblins you play and credit towards any 1st or 2nd level character you got.. I'd rather not have a player wasting time making a goblin they will only use for one module.

I'd be interested in something like this, I'd consider it a double win since the Intro series sound interesting and I've always wanted to try the "We Be Goblins" module :D

So far I've GM'd WBG once..and been looking for an excuse to do it again at the Friendly Local Game Store.. our Thurday games are growing to the point where I might get a chance. :D

Re: Pathfinder Discussion

I'll have to register as well.  It sounds pretty fun.  Using pregens would also reduce concerns over what source we use for char gen.

Re: Pathfinder Discussion

Well there is a big issue with the 'core assumptions' rules and how you have to have sources. As we all have access to the PRD on the paizo site, I would suggest using that source. If you have anything more than that. .we'll have to work it out.

Re: Pathfinder Discussion

Ahha... you learn something new every day!  Apparently, I already have a Pathfinder society number.

On a separate, but slightly related matter, what are the requirements for being a GM for Pathfinder Society adventures online?  It seems like there are a few free pathfinder adventures you can get a hold of, for instance.  Otherwise, it looked like something that some cost a handful of dollars to get.

Are you serious about running a Pathfinder Society Game online?  If so, I'm up for starting with the goblin one... that way I don't need to worry about character creation right off the bat.  I've checked a couple times, and didn't see you having created a new game for it just yet.

My question I do have, would doing the Goblin adventure interfere with running the three introductory adventures.  (or would that make our character advance to 2nd on the third adventure, for instance?)  Or can we wait to apply the experience from the goblin adventure to our character until after the first three scenarios.

I apologize if I seem to be asking a lot of questions, but you did present yourself as a Venture-Lieutenant, so you make a convenient target for questions.

Re: Pathfinder Discussion

Not at all. I did introduce myself as one!  Normally it wouldn't matter BUT due to the slow nature of plat by post, I would rather do First steps 1-3 first. Since they are level 1 advenutes and WBG is a 1 thru 2 minimodule

And yes, I would be interested in giving it a try.  IF I can get four players.  Exwrestler is a friend and busy this weekend so I know he is interested.

Re: Pathfinder Discussion

I'm personally more interested in the First Steps, anyway, since half the fun for me is developing my own character.

I think you have four players, with Exwrestler, Dairius_Chi, LoreWarden and I as well as possibly Toranoko.

Re: Pathfinder Discussion

I certainly enjoy creating my own characters as well.  I just haven't gotten that deeply into the character generation process in the Pathfinder Society.  I suppose however, it sounds like you can change numerous things up until you hit first level, so that would give you at least 2 times in between adventures to make changes, and maybe a third if you get to make such changes before advancing to 2nd level.

So I read something about seasons, and that the newer seasons are made for 6 characters now instead of 4.  Does that mean we can go with anywhere from 4 to 6 players in the introductory sequence?

With that in mind do others already have in mind what Role they would prefer to play in the party?  I have numerous base ideas I can build off of so I'm flexible what I'd choose if others already have stronger preferences.

 Rogue (Skulking Slayer) Half Orc
Toranoko
 Caster or Alchemist
Dairius_Chi

Exwrestler
 Fighter
Loreguard
Flexible Contemplating options:  Cavalier Half-orc; Bard (Dawnflower Dervish) ?
I will re-edit with additional information, if I see a preference listed.

Re: Pathfinder Discussion

Yes.. you CAN respec any time till 2nd level OR in special circumstances. (The recent ban on sythesist has had a lot of folks having to rebuild their characters from scratch)

Re: Pathfinder Discussion

I already have a Skulking Slayer Rogue Half Orc built, which I would like to use. He's more of a two-weapon fighter than a traditional rogue skill monkey, though.

Re: Pathfinder Discussion

I can do practically anything, but I have been playing a lot of spell casters lately. I should also point out that I'm relatively new to Pathfinder, but an old hand at gaming. Those were the days when Dinosaurs roamed the earth and Gary Gygax was still in charge of TSR & Advanced Dungeons and Dragons.

In the Goblin Campaign, I would like to try my hand at the Alchemist.

Well, registration was easier that I thought it would be! I have my number now; I'm guessing that would go in the RTJ.

Just so you guys know, I haven't dropped this BUT I just started mt senior project class as well as having VL duties and other issues this week. I'm about 1/3rd done with my game setup and once IT is done, pcs are approved it won't take much to get first steps moving.

Bear with me.

Re: Pathfinder Discussion

I have two basic concepts I'm considering... one is a half-orc cavalier whom is really more of combat brute, with a little bit of ability to affect the combat environment.  However, it sounded like we might have a decent share of combat fighters already, so I began trying to consider other options.

Another option is a Bard (Dawnflower Dervish) so they would also be a bit of a combatant, but would have some arcane spell capability, and would also be intended to fight along side others helping to protect them as well as dishing out damage.

I thought about a Chirurgeon alchemist... but that wouldn't actually help the party out that much with healing, until the character made it to 2nd level.

Re: Pathfinder Discussion

Well after you get your prestige for the first adventure, you can get a wand of cure light wounds (750 gp/2 pp) and since it's on your spell list.. you can use it without UMD.

The first adventure is some combat and some social events. Not everything is 'wipe everything out' some times it's 'go in and find X and if you CAN keep a low profile.'

There are dungeon crawls, cross country treks and stuff that can be calls 'espionage' scenarios throughout the 5 seasons I have access to.
