"Captured. Poor Odrion is captured. We must save him before the sea screams again" the Mon Calmari nodded many times to Lyla, she then slipped into a fit of gurgling.

That... wasn't what she'd asked. Lyla was about to try again when Rekara lost it and started that weird gurgling. Rising, backing away, full of concern, she looked around for Tera, hoping she could do something to help Rekara.

Returning to the cockpit, she gave Jason the nod. 'Go ahead. Better we test it now than later when we need it.' She watched the preparations, hoping there'd be no more weird disasters. They needed to be able to move about on this planet if they were to do anything.

"It appears the ship is fine. " said Klyn after his checking.

He then screwed his eyes up, looking outside.

"There is something southeast..."

To the southeast about six hundred metres away are several white dots on the surface of the water. Faintly from the same direction comes a bellowing roar and an explosive sound that could be blaster fire.

"Southeast it is.."

Jason takes a moment to make sure all his readings are good and then he carefully dives underwater, looking around with curiosity and interest and marvelling at the ship's capabilities.

"So.. Yes tell me if i'm going in the wrong direction.. and eh, point out any sea monsters please.."

Sound travelled far and fast underwater and through the hull, and even muffled Lyla recognised the unmistakeable whines and bursts of blaster fire. She'd heard enough of it recently. 'Sounds like a battle.' she said grimly, peering through the screen at the distant white dots. 'They might be Stormtroopers. Take us closer. Maybe we can take sides.'

At the long series of howls and barks, she glanced across to Chu-Shkar, wondering exactly who's bright idea it was to put a Wookiee on sensors. 'I'm sorry, I don't know what you're saying! Does anyone speak Shyriiwook?!'

The Plunge

The steady hum of the repulsorlift engines filled the cockpit as Jason fired up the atmospheric and underwater engines. The Alabak's Gold dived below the surface and the scene of battle on the water's surface disappeared from view. The jumpship's engines were strong but the ship was big too, so progress underwater was slow. The speeder-rafts would travel over the waves much faster.

"He said he didn't find any big land mass but there are a few islands". Answered Klyn
"He also found evidence of a sophisticated installation a bit further... maybe the empire's headquarter...

And there is the strange energy source we were briefed about... but it's location is still unknown."

As Lyla directed them to get closer to the fight, Klyn checked the shields.

"Gunners at your position" he added, apparently looking forward to check how the blaster's new configuration worked.

"Maybe we can get some kind of crash course in Shriiwook next time we're in any big city.. Must be books that teach it.. Though.. Never really had a knack for languages.."

Jason decides that as long as the wookie doesn't start screaming wildly, his trajectory is probably still good and once the ship is turned towards the battle he sets off in that direction.

"Not sure maneuvering will be easy while underwater, but i'll do my best.."

"Did I miss something? I'm a bit rusty in Shriiwook. Didn't meet many Wookies until recently, you see."

didn't remember about those rafts either.  One question: why aren't we simply flying above the water? I thought everything was working again...

The Plunge

Quantros tilted his head. To him, there was more to this mission than met the eye. Yes, the Empire was here, but what concerned him was the fact that the ship plummeted towards the planet shortly after exiting hyperspace. There was something on this planet. Something it would take the Force to uncover. This thought in mind, Quantros closed his eyes, and reached out with his senses. He didn't care what the others thought. The Force had guided him safely for most of his life. He had no reason not to trust in it.

OOC: 12:13, Today: Quantros Starbound rolled 27 using 1d20+7.  Use the Force: Sense. I'm trying to see if there's anything (or anyone) in that battle who would interest the Imperials in regards to the Golden Sun.

The Plunge

The Alabak's Gold pushed it's slow way through the ocean, its repulsorlift engines specially designed by Mon Calamari engineers to operate in planetary atmospheres and liquid environments. Travel through water was slower than through air however, so far Jason the pilot controls were elementary and he had not trouble manoeuvring the starship underwater it was just a different pace.

Quantros' eyes shot open in surprise. "Bron, do you feel that?" He asked quickly, grabbing his lightsaber. "One of the combatants in that battle..." He didn't activate his lightsaber, but merely stared on ahead in the direction of the skirmish intently, as if the battle was the only thing that concerned him.

Bron a little more wary of what he senses simply nods as he places his hand on the hilt of his lightsaber.

"This will not be a gentle meeting, I would suggest that myself and Quantros head out by ourselves, and whom ever else wishes to join wait until we can a hundred meters or so out before setting out. There is something quite unsettling about that battle, and I do not believe it will be safe for any of us. However, if we can act with the element of surprise our chances may be all the better." Bron says as he looks out the cockpit window.

The Plunge

'Don't ignite those things in here!' Lyla ordered, alarmed, spotting Bron and Quantros playing with their laser-sword hilts. 'Someone will lose a limb or tail. Besides, who do you expect to hit? There's no enemies inside the ship.' Honestly. Some days she felt like a teacher or a mother, keeping children in line and from lopping off their hands.

She regarded their progress on the display, deciding 'Okay, this tootling about underwater is too slow. It'll all be over by the time we arrive. Let's return to the air and fly over. We can hop into the speeder rafts if we want to get involved.' She added for Bron's benefit, 'No one goes alone. We're a team. You two can take a separate raft so you can swing your laser-swords around, but that's it.' Their safety was her primary concern; two new recruits on their first mission could easily run into trouble with Stormtroopers. Her secondary concern was what mischief they might get up to by themselves.

"Do not condescend to us, we know what we're doing." Quantros snapped calmly, seemingly more focused on the battle. "And for your information, we've sensed another Force user in the midst of that battle. If the disturbance there is any indication, then he'll be a dangerous opponent. Bron and I must go ahead, to ensure this newcomer does not jeopardize the mission. We must face him alone."

"I have no intention of cutting of your limbs or your tails, or any one here for that matter. If I could avoid it I would not go into combat at all, it is the the failed Jedi who only relies on his lightsaber. But Quantros is right, there is a force user out there, and it is highly unlikely that he is going to be as kind hearted as Quantros or myself. It is not that we would not welcome your assistance, but to put you in the line of a Sith would be irresponsible of us. Bron says as he looks off in the direction of the battle.
