Re: Second Act OOC Chat

Also, loot has been updated. I presume you all are going to check the bodies so I figured I'd list out everything.

What the cure critical wounds roll?  It was for Raznik.

Edit: Also here's my perception check to see what's up with the cultist:
21:33, Today: Renard Waywynd rolled 19 using 1d20. Perception check.

Alright, only Kuldar made the check so he can act before anything happens. Go ahead and make a standard full-round action Kuldar and just add it on to your current post.

Yep, all taken into consideration. It's one of the reasons that he stumbled and made the ripple in the spilled wine. Hard to keep your balance when yo've just been beaten to hell and back and you can't use your arms to balance yourself very well.

So what's the plan for your cultist captive? Let's get the ball rolling.

Re: Second Act OOC Chat

I'm going to try to intimidate him into talking.  If someone wants to break his fingers then go for it, should give a bonus to the skill check, but that's a bit more vicious than Renard is willing to personally get.

EDIT - What sort of information are we looking to get out of this guy, anyways?

Basically, just:  Who hired them to kill us and why?  Why is the death cult so interested in our little group?

Re: Second Act OOC Chat

While not the most manipulative of people Solomon was careful how he worded his promise.  The cultist must agree to answer ALL OUR questions.  Anyone have any others they want to ask?

Solomon also stated that HE would not attempt to prevent the man's freedom, he didn't say one of you guys wouldn't.

Being lawful, just means knowing how to play the game ;P

Re: Second Act OOC Chat

Well, 16 days absent is pretty definitive. I suppose we've lost our little fire-breather. We'll see how it all plays out.

A very honest answer to this question would be much appreciated:

Do you guys want me to keep this game going? I've noticed what seems to be a decent lack of interest recently and I'm not sure whether that's just schedules interfering or desire to play the game dropping. I ask because if it's going to stay like this or get worse, I don't want to recruit a new person in just so they can join a dying game.

I like it and want to continue, but I'm not going to be devastated if it should die; after all, I'm in one of your other games too and that one still seems to be going strong.

Re: Second Act OOC Chat

I joined your other game first and then you recruited me into this one but to be totally honest this one never really held my attention like the other one did.  I'm willing to keep going, just been busy the last few days so I didn't always have time to check up on things.

Re: Second Act OOC Chat

I find my time has been spread pretty thin as of late, really it's not like I don't have a few minutes to put a post up but sometimes I'm just so tired I can't think of anything to put down.

I like this game and definitely have an interest in the story, and we've done pretty well considering the constant cycling in and out of a couple player slots there for a while (myself being a late entry to the game). Kuldar is a bit of a different character for me so overall the experience has been fun.

Re: Second Act OOC Chat

Alright I am ready to move on... so after reading over the last couple pages I have to ask: Was our first destination decided? I know we were looking into the beast's primary hunting ground (the flooded area, right?), I felt like there was more beyond general getting familiar with the town but can't seem to find where that was discussed...

Re: Second Act OOC Chat

From what I understood, you decided to go to Estage Paar, the noble / merchant hill, because you heard from the Shroud Guard that that is where the creatures seemed to originate from. They hunted down in the Drowned District, sure, but that was mostly just the one that you killed. If you wanted to find the root of their existence, where you are currently headed is the way to go. If not, there are other places for you to visit. I can move us along but I need someone to post IC.

Re: Second Act OOC Chat

Kuldar, how long do you want to take to gather information? Anywhere from 1-12 hours. Each hour will cost you 1g from buying drinks and softening up tavern-goers.

Re: Second Act OOC Chat

01:50, Today: Kuldar Balak rolled 8 using 1d12. GI.

I'll go up to 8 unless someone needs to pull him away. While he's at work the others can always see what else is out and about in the area. Not sure if we should split into 2 and 2 or just leave Kuldar at the tavern.

I guess if someone wanted to Aid Kuldar on his Diplomacy check, they'd stick around.

Re: Second Act OOC Chat

So if you haven't gathered by now, due to the lack of general interest, the dying off of both my free time and our player base, and just no real desire to keep this running because of the former, I'll be shutting down this game. I won't be deleting it (at least not for a while) as I need to archive it and get everything off of it before it junk it. It's been fun and we had some good times. Thanks for sticking it out with me as long as you guys did. I hope we can game again sometime under more favorable circumstances. Kudos for making it for over a year!

Cheers everyone.
