Re: Second Act OOC Chat

Hm.  In your case, as a summoner you'll have your eidolon as a meat shield, so the armor and melee weapon is Less important, at least from my personal experience.

I'd suggest on things like the crossbow or that, so you can sit back and stay out of harms way (since you have less then optimal hp), and just poke people with arrows.

In reply to Maeria Shari (msg #25):

Yeah, that's why I thought giving them a +1 would be a bit pointless. I was wondering what else you can do to them.

If I wanted to enchant my crossbow or whatever, how would I go about it? I can't find it in the rules...

Scroll down about halfway till you get to the 'ranged' weapon magic abilities.

Arudal, the dwarf from the first act had 125 =P He also had a 30 AC though and wielded a tower shield like it was a buckler though. Stalwart Defender for the win.

76 hit points for the Cat Girl. Got some good rolls there.

I'll be your infiltrator, but I can hold my own in melee with the best of them.

Re: Second Act OOC Chat

After getting the full understanding of how HP rolling is to be handled, I didn't turn out as bad as I thought (72).  I think I'm pretty much done with character creation.  I just need to tweak my equipment a little.

Re: Second Act OOC Chat

Undead CAN be hit with a crit in Pathfinder.  Not in 3.5 though.  If you look at the Rogue, it has a list of creatures that are immune to crits.

Re: Second Act OOC Chat

So it's come up a couple times so I thought I'd give a little announcement about it. While min-maxing your characters isn't explicitly against my rules, optimizing your items when you assume the main type of enemies or taking traits to do bonus damage to them is against my rules and I will make you choose something else. The only exception to traits is if your original backstory officially had something to do with undead, which, none of yours did. The exception to weapons is Ghost Touch as spirits and incorporeal creatures don't necessarily need to be undead and therefore could  plausibly have been in existence beforehand.

Seems to me adding the "Ghost touch" ability to most weapons would require a +2 weapon at least, which violate your +1 limit from Character Creation above, does it not?

Re: Second Act OOC Chat

But, you have to have a +1 enhancement bonus on weapons/armor/shields before you can place an ability with a +1 or better modifier.

From the SRD. I weapon must have at least a +1 before you can add any special abilities. So A ghost touch weapon is actually +2 total.

Re: Second Act OOC Chat

I've been chit-chatting to the DM about this very thing.  Here is my last pos<t:

+1 Ghost Touch Tetsubo
The way I figure it the item will have an effective base price of +2 (8000gp) plus the cost of the tetsubo itself (20gp).  If I take the three +1 free enhancements you were offering (effectively 2000gp each) and subtract that I'd still have to pay 2020gp for the item.  I'm fine with doing this so long as you allow it.

I'm still waiting to hear back.

Sorry I've been a bit MIA today. Been sick with a fever and been in and out of sleep. I'm feeling a bit better now though so I can probably get some stuff done for those of you that need it.
