Renard Waywynd:
So this might explain at least a little bit about why I feel so ineffective as a healer...
I had cure light wounds listed as a 2nd level spell and cure moderate wounds listed as a 3rd level spell when they are both a level lower and I should have cure serious wounds as a third level spell.
I don't play healers very often, and it shows.
Healers are generally not that useful in combat...touch range spells that only get +1/level instead of d4/d6 like every damaging spell? Damage outprogresses healing, it's something that was impossible to deal with...
Really the only combat was something PF added(not entirely true, combat healers in 3.5 could function but...well definitely not by 7th level, that's for sure) which is Channel Energy. On it's own? Not that huge, definitely makes you wanna keep levels in the base class that runs it, but you can heal multiple d6 to tons of people at once.
First thing you should aim for is a Phylactery of Positive Channeling(11,000gp) which adds 2d6 to your Channel Energy, that's another 8d6/day*number of allies or foes hit
But yeah...getting your spells straight will help, Druids do have slightly slower progression(light is 1st, moderate is 2nd, then serious jumps to 4th etc...)
