Oh, uh, the thing's paralyzed.  A full round action to coup de grace means it's dead. :P  It also means Solomon's attacks didn't miss.

Re: Second Act OOC Chat

Unfortunatly, I can't do a full attack since I'm not next to it (at least at the start of this turn).  Second, I rolled a 1 to attack which is an auto miss.  Cho'kobo's attack may hit.

Re: Second Act OOC Chat

Aaah, didn't know about the 1.  And yeah, only Skraag can get a full attack in this round and even that might not be possible given that he's down on one knee (but not prone!)  Even if the thing makes its Will save this round it's a full round action so it's out of the fight until it's next action AFTER this upcoming one.

Re: Second Act OOC Chat

Just a note to Skraag: PF handles natural attacks a little differently, in that they're all designated as primary or secondary, but a creature could have as many primary natural attacks as it wants(or the game creators wanted).

Unless specified otherwise, claws and bites are always primary so you wouldn't get an attack or damage penalty on any of them.

Re: Second Act OOC Chat

Hmmm well I guess it's time to point out one of the house rules that apparently hasn't been adhered to much.

RTJ / Character Creation:
In combat, if you roll a 1, roll an additional d6 to see how bad you fumbled. Hint, don't roll a 6.

1-4, nothing happens except you missing.
5, and you fumble, generally losing your weapon at your feet or something similar.
6, and gods have mercy on you.

I know I had this happen a few times, twice on Kilgur in the same battle(or it might have just been the mines in general) if memory serves...thankfully only once did it have a negative outcome, and Kilgur couldn't drop his Gore so he just fell prone.

Re: Second Act OOC Chat

Made that post sort of hurried/not a lot of double-checking, so I did just sort of assume the Dwarves of this world had a King...seems a common enough prospect, if not then I can edit it though.

To help the bluff he'd also flash a family crest, something only a Dwarf from his hometown would recognize, but is a prop so it helps the story be that much more believable.

Yes we did, I just hope a natural 16 and the cheesiest bard spell that exists can at least help us a bit.

Re: Second Act OOC Chat

Well, had you not killed it and tried to restrain it instead, you would be having a very different conversation with the guards right now. More along the lines of "what in the 9 circles of hell is that and how did it set that building on fire?"

Re: Second Act OOC Chat

I thought about pulling out those masterwork manacles of mine, but it still had those nasty looking teeth to deal with; and someone yelled "quick, kill it!"  So, being unfamiliar with the spell used to paralyze it he decided simply to attack.

Well I feel pretty stupid now...to be honest I was just sort of glad I was close enough to do the CdG, and also a little excited I had 3 attacks(5 with Kilgur's)...I got trigger happy.

So it seems that Kuldar saved you all from a harsher fate than you may have been subjected to. You can thank him in favors of gold later. Myself, I will congratulate him the form of a Story Point. Nice thinking on your feet there sir.

Appreciated! Though now we have the issue of my lie being found out later, I'm sure the plan is to depart on our own before then but...not entirely sure how best to go about that.

For now let's be glad we have allies on the outside...if only we had a means of communication.
