30 minutes or so. The city is quite large and the walk wasn't exactly short.

Re: Second Act OOC Chat

So 40 minutes left, if the goal is escape then that can really come in handy...sine I won't be able to sneak out.

Solomon and Renard, he did say we could get all of our belongings before heading to the Guesthouse, so you guys should have the time to get armored now.

One of the guards fetched it for you. Assume you were given your things as they left. No need to see the king or try to escape in your loincloth there Tarzan.

@Kuldar: No, they didn't find your wrist sheathe. You seem to have the only weapon amongst you all.

Kilgur attacked it, by my own order so there's  that as well.

In reply to Kuldar Balak (msg # 729):

I know but I doubt he will be called before the king, or within the zone of truth, or able to speak common, should we decide to go that route.

If you want, I can just speed it up to when they come to get you in the morning. Inori hasn't responded to his PM at all.

DO EET! :P  I figure no amount of planning will get us out of this, it's down to Kuldar and his massive sack... of lies...

Well I was hoping for Temnir or Inori to sneak in so we could coordinate a plan...please give me another day, unfortunately I didn't see this until I was already drained of cleverness and sweet sweet energy, having just finished a rather long d20 game.

I have a +22 to bluff, and most of these guards are likely not as wisened as the Guard Captain, if the rules are to be taken literally I could convince most of these guys we're a guard patrol that got polymorphed or something, and should just be let out.

I'm not going to, because that gets too humorous and crazy too quickly(why I didn't max bluff AND get Glibness) but 40 minutes is a long time to work with a +20 to bluff...the issue being any repercussions from escaping a decidedly LN/LE governed town's prison...

Re: Second Act OOC Chat

Yeah I figured you'd want to know what goes along with that. Unfortunately, if I can't get ahold of Inori, there's not too much I can do besides NPC him and make a few rolls to see how well they did in attempting to find and rescue you. I'll give it another day and hopefully I'll have heard back from him by then. Feel free to make some contingency plans for if you still end up getting dragged in front of the king anyway.

Re: Second Act OOC Chat

Okay my apologies, I never got around to posting yesterday like I had planned and now I'm a little drained from a night of gaming followed by a day of busywork(cleaning around the house etc...)

I'll try being clever tomorrow, and hopefully another day might net us our ninja back...

Re: Second Act OOC Chat

Well I have no clue what happened to Inori so it may be safe to assume that he's gone, at least for now. Rather annoying but it can be dealt with. Soon as Kuldar gets time to post, I'll move the group forward.

Re: Second Act OOC Chat

Okay...I'm back, and after some time thinking I'm still coming up with squat...

This pretty much means a couple things: I still have a +22 to Bluff for about 40 minutes, generally speaking that means as long as I keep it simple I could talk our way out of here, but we'd still be lacking our weapons, and would soon after be wanted criminals.

Kuldar is CG, so he's not really going to regret lying to the guards, and the looming repercussions aren't as big a draw on his actions...but lying can easily make the situation worse by just adding more and more crimes, which really only matters if we get caught or plan to stay here long.

Basically, I can't make the decision myself, so I'd like to call a vote from the party present(just handling it OOC to save time): Shall Kuldar try bluffing our way out, and reconvene with Temnir? Or do we wait it out and hope the law is on our side...?

Re: Second Act OOC Chat

As a LG character my character is convinced that telling the truth would be the better option.  He won't hamper plans to do otherwise if more of the group agree that it is the way to go.

I basically assumed this would be the case, since I'm sure all of us as players have no issue with trying to leave, but some character alignments and such can clash.

Thankfully PF became a lot more lax with the Paladin's Code, so breaking out of jail shouldn't lose you any of your Paladin stuff...just killing a few unarmed guards unnecessarily on the way out :p

Re: Second Act OOC Chat

Alright so here's the lowdown everyone. Inori is gone apparently. Temnir will soon be showing up to the compound while the group is planning what to do next. I'm bringing in someone to the game that is super reliable so we won't have to deal with this issue again hopefully. We'll get the ball rolling tomorrow and give you guys the rest of the day to finish your OOC planning.

Huzzah!

Well if we can lie our way out I'm all for it.  The less killing we have to do the better, really.  If Temnir can break us out and we have a decent chance of getting away from the city without getting caught then I'm fine with that too.
