Duvall: Please let me know if you got my PM this afternoon? Not really sure whether you saw it this time. We might need to start a new PM thread if we can't get it sorted out.

Thanks!

Re: LEVEL-UP!

We missed our one-year anniversary by a few days, but better late than never.

Though only a few original players remain, I figured this would be a good time to check in with everyone to see how the game is going from the player's standpoint. From the DM side, the game is going pretty well. You characters are now at the level where I can throw a wide range of challenges at them, so that's good. The party mix seems to work reasonably well, even without having a true magic-user.

Magic items have been few and far between, but that's mostly due to the creatures you have encountered so far. Now that your characters are in the mid-levels, you should see more magic items. Still, I tend to be a pretty conservative DM when it comes to magic items and treasure, so I wouldn't expect to be girded down too heavily with them.

Posting quality and rate is good. I now have a pretty good idea of all your posting frequencies and communication is pretty good when you expect to be gone.

This campaign was billed as a city-based game and so far it has been dungeon-focused. I would like to open it up a bit to do some wilderness stuff as well, perhaps during this adventure or immediately following. Maybe on the way back to Stormhaven? There are some fun ideas I have for this that we just can't do while beneath the city or delving a ziggurat.

Well, those are my thoughts.

Re: LEVEL-UP!

Well, I haven't been here nearly a year, but I'm enjoying the game. My free time has been short, and so have my posts, but I've been hoping that I'm not slowing things down. I have a good grasp of Rath as a character, but I haven't found a lot of chances yet to expose that to the others.

This particular adventure has been entertaining, but I'm game for anything you want to throw our way ... dungeon, wilderness, or city. As for magic items, I can accept a lower-than-standard level of magical loot.

Thanks, DM and players, for the game!

Re: LEVEL-UP!

I'm having plenty of fun. :)

I think I'd like to explore the city and it's inhabitants a little as against just the dungeons beneath them. Our characters are getting a little more powerful and rich and I'd like to see if we are making waves with the other Stormhavians.

Re: LEVEL-UP!

Hello everyone. I am the artist formerly known as Duvall Kane. Uh, make that, the artist NOW known as Duvall. Anyway, excited for a new (to me) game and like some of you, very limited time right now, so I'll be slow integrating into the game. If I miss something, please, feel free to PM me about it because until the end of the month my time will be limited severely but should ease up a bit in March.

Thanks for having me along.

Re: LEVEL-UP!

I've honestly had a blast since joining the game. No complaints whatsoever.

I'm pretty open to wherever the group's adventures take them. Like Saliq, I'm still curious about the mysteries that exist beneath Stormhaven itself. It sounds like there's still a lot to discover there.

Re: LEVEL-UP!

Yeah, it's all good from me - pretty happy to go where-ever adventure wise, but agree with Saliq it would be good to develop some sense of Stormhaven people and politics as we go (even though it wasn't that important, I loved the idea of the Druids posting a guard on the dungeon entrance in the park in the last adventure!).

And as for magic items, I think it's fine - especially since the rapid level advancement means there is a regular increase in power as we go (especially, I guess, for the spellcasters).

Player-wise, I think I'm nearly original (started a week or two late) is anyone else still here from a year ago?

Eagle and Saliq are the only original players, although Ben and Norion have been along since very near the beginning.

Okay. Based on feedback, I think we will try to do some non-crawl adventures after we wrap up this one. These can be a little more challenging in a PbP, but we can make it work.

Re: LEVEL-UP!

No, not directed at you. Anytime I've built a sidekick character of any sort for an RPOL game, the "main character" disappears without notice, and I'm left with no one's side to kick.
