Escape From the Lost City

004-1108
0100 Hours

Nothing more happened that day, no one came to see them. Requests to talk to anyone were denied, for any reason. Talia even demanded more medical supplies at one point but was denied.

There were 14 prisoners locked down inside: Ken, Liisha, Thomas, Neva, Linus, Blake, Lorain, Drew, Talia, Jothan, Juan (seriously wounded), Fatima, Hal, and Ross (seriously wounded). The 2 worse off patients were stabilised for now, Ross had regained consciousness.

Inside the hut, Lorain kept everyone's spirits up. Her father seemed understandably subdued. Only Drew seemed to be confident that things were going to work out fine. It wasn't too uncomfortable, the A/C kept everyone cool, water was plentiful. Dinner was a few travel ration packs to split among them (1 each). Even the toilet (an advanced model) seemed to be working up to snuff.

Gradually, activity around the camp quieted down for the night.

GM Note: After sufficient medical care, Liisha and Thomas have recovered their full statistics.

Ken helps with the wounded and keeps an eye on Drew.  He's convinced that the other is a fool or a traitor or some combination of the two.

Re: Escape From the Lost City

In reply to Ken Jenkins (msg # 2):

Neva was happy when Thomas recovered and spent a little time around him to make sure that he didn't overdo it.  She didn't hover but in typical Neva style, she would be within reach etc.

When she had some time when Drew wouldn't overhear she'd tell Thomas about her "funny feeling" about him although she would point out that she still couldn't put a finger on why she felt that way.

Re: Escape From the Lost City

Linus spent most of the time caring for the remaining wounded. He was clearly underimpressed with the bunch of rogues holding them.

Re: Escape From the Lost City

Ken talked to the others as they considered their situation.  "With two seriously wounded we are going to have to plan an escape very carefully.  I don't think we want to leave anyone behind in the possession of our captors."

In reply to Ken Jenkins (msg # 5):

Further attempts at planning an escape were forestalled by the sound of explosions outside! Ken recognised the sound of incoming mortar rounds. This was immediately followed by the hammering of several machine guns and automatic rifles.

Re: Escape From the Lost City

"That's unlikely to be good," mused Linus. "Whoever's attacking isn't going to distinguish between that parcel of rogues and us..."

In reply to Linus Spruance (msg # 7):

Neva looked at Linus.  "Unless it gives us a chance to get out of here.  Of course the enemy of our enemy could be our friend."
