In reply to Blake Renfield (msg #336):
Blake runs inside, the Gog (native) at the counter allows Blake into the back to use the phone, as a human is more likely to get a response from the ambulance service. Going through the operator, lets the service know there's a human in trouble.
"Hang on, we'll have someone there in no time!" Blake repeats the address and location of the man.
Linus doesn't have the time or energy answer. The heat, humidity and stench of the alley is making exertion like chest compressions difficult and draining to an almost unbearable degree. The smell is almost overwhelming, and he thinks he's losing Lin. The man's been beaten too badly and his body is already ravaged by disease and alcoholism.
Ten minutes later an ambulance screamed up, siren going.
Instead of paramedics, a harried-looking doctor (white coat, stethoscope, doctor's bag) believed Lin to be dead on the scene, but the drivers still loaded him up on a stretcher anyways for a trip to Val Preszar's (human) hospital.
The white-coated doctor said,
"thank you. Anyone here related to or friends of the patient? Like to go to hospital with him?"
