But we can proceed with the starting of "the exit" with one more I think...I can also put up an IC chat for the group as they figure get affairs in order and prepare for departure. nothing serious just get to know each other, make preparations that don't require more than basics/roleplay.


the process isn't going to be they grab you and chuck you out the door one morning ( well unless things go sideways, or the surface team makes a nuisance of itself) so some lead-up time is available

An in character thread would be great, just to get a feel for the characters before we get rolling.

an old player has returned. Hriss will not be with you for the first part of the game but will join the party later. It looks like I have a good handful of folks lined up so we can enjoy a bit of fun.

Just a few notes

• As GM I do not view it as my job to make your character's lives hard...just run the world.
• As GM I d not set out to kill or do anything untoward...if it happens it happens... But it's not my goal.
• As a GM I get a lot of enjoyment out of people interacting, plotting, scheming, and resolving issues so have at.
• As a GM you may run into a recurring NPC, they are not going to be any better at things than you are. they have no special in-character knowledge. It's just my way of interacting with you.
• As GM I am all-knowing...NPCs ARE NOT, they will screw up, they will make mistakes, they will do stupid stuff..feel free to use that to your advantage I don't take it personally.
• As GM my door is always open to you, if you have input, questions complaints feel free.
   I will listen and evaluate everything, and if needs of the game require I will happily make adjustments based on those comments/concerns...once again I will not take it personally.
• as GM it is my job to give you guys a fun time and keep you entertained while I tell a story. if you're not having fun let me know I will try to fix that problem.
• As GM I will help resolve issues between players and expect people to keep OOC and IC separate. IC issues are the sole realm f the players...and I do not enjoy resolving those by GM decree...so let's be mindful of those issues...OOC, And IC...keep em separate,and OOC issues....let's resolve those with adult levels of behavior :D

I am not new to d20, but have zero experience with Modern.  I am reading through all the threads here and working on character design. :-)

I will attempt to get character created today and ask the gm some questions via pm, as it seems there is some typos here and there in the rules making some contradictions, but nothing major, just needing some clarification on a couple things. Soon after that I will make an IC response.

It's a substantial creation process but I found it pretty rewarding.

I ended up breaking down John's life in to rough "phases" and kind of justified each of the points spent towards where he was at that time.

Took a bit of time, but I think I have a better idea if where he is coming from.

So what was everybody thinking as far as occupational speciality's?

I am Admin...still trying to figure out exactly what that means for possible skill progression other than bureaucracy and Douchebaggery skills

How much of it really is just nepotism, ivory tower social insulation and condescension....

And how much is trying to solve really difficult problems, striving under the burden of leadership and the frustration of dealing with decades of social momentum while trying to placate a ravening mob of workers who all believe they individually know what's best.

Been distracted by today's news, so will work more tomorrow. Arthur is security with outdoor survival training (as much as there is.) Also has the repair skill so he doesn't have to call tech support for everything.

I use Blender, enhanced by coffee, lack of sleep, aspirin, and antacid...and years of practice and youtube tutorials.

And no no one starting I know if....most are rather far along in the games they are running. I had one but when I had to take an extended hiatus a friend took it over.

Okay we now have a medical professional
