Re: A Game of Throws

OOC If the door is metal I can weld it shut with my laser.... is it the only exit?

OOC: I wasn't going to overly explain the mess in the brief conversation... Glorfin Del must kill a minion or two every now and then... otherwise what sort of villain is he... he'd just say... these ones have displeased me... go away or you will join then in retirement.

"I can't hear anything." said QuikGlorfin Del. Looking at Vibro of the ever perky ears questioningly...

OOC:  I have rolled an 83% on my disguise check.... somebody might want to tell me that I should impersonate him 'before' he had the hole drilled in his forehead...
Why did we kill him... grrrr

Re: A Game of Throws

OOC- Hey guys, some of your OOC comments would be valid and appropriate "in game" conversation, or thought. Far too much metagaming for my liking. Clean it up please.

Re: A Game of Throws

Crossfire took only seconds to assess that the door was a standard office door that wouldn't stop bullets. He also noted the bones didn't match those of the "law enforcement agents" the team had spotted in the arena above and that no badges were showing in the X-Rays.

Crossfire then switched off his moral compass, the one where he had qualms about making sure of his targets before killing and pulled the trigger, again and again and again, body skull, body skull.

Re: A Game of Throws

OOC- I guess I need to clarify the rules of posting once again.

Please keep OOC comments in the OOC thread. If your comment can be in game, put it in your thread. If you mean to change something in your previous post, and it is not game affecting, you have an edit button on all of your posts. Just let us all know you've changed something in the proper OOC. Any roles should also be in a Private Line to me. Any other comments not directed to the others should be in a Private line to me, or if it's something only one other player would notice, to them.

From here on out, I'd appreciate your cooperation so we can have a clean thread. You'll need to get into practice here so that you don't keep the habit up in the proper game/story.

Thank you - Your Friend, the Hairy Clit.

After finishing pulling the trigger Crossfire said to the room at large "That'll learn em for making the doors out of rice paper."

Re: A Game of Throws

Quiksit's question had gone unanswered. Vibro had just noticed that QuikGlorfinDel's impersonation of the pasty elf was entirely too close to his current appearance when the deafening sounds of gunshots once again filled the room. This time, they were followed by echoes of metal on metal as the shots either lodged into or ricocheted off of the solid metal entry door, which Crossfire had just referred to as rice paper. To most people in the room, it caused all other sound to cease while the ringing in their ears died down. Vibro's ears, however, rode through the sound like a surfer, catching a ride on the crashing wave of noise rather than getting drowned in it. She clung to the ripples that bounced in every direction, from the simple scuffling of the immediate company to the echoing footsteps in the hall just outside the door.

Upon realising that his bullets did not penetrate the door, Crossfire looked beyond it to see the couple midway through the hall move quickly toward it as Vibro heard the quickening steps.

OOC- Everyone roll initiative. 1d10 + SR and give me the result in a PM.

OOC: 9+16 = 25

QuikGlorfin Del was somewhat confused by Crossfires actions and hunkered down with his laser rifle out waiting for visible targets...

Re: A Game of Throws

The room went silent and the tension thick. Vibro listened to the steps get closer as Crossfire watched. They had moved to either side of the hall at the sound of the gunshots, and were sliding along on their approach. They motioned with hand signals and moved their lips, but Vibro heard nothing but footsteps. She was sure there were two of them, but apart from that they gave nothing away.

Frozen in their positions, the teams' guests were all but forgotten, until one of them opened their mouth.

"Que paso?"

OOC: Quiksit has the 1st, choosing to delay action. Crossfire and Vibro go at the same time. Remember to include your battle box in a PL.

Re: A Game of Throws

Their 'guests' may have been ignored momentarily, but were certainly not forgotten. At the unwanted sound of the chef's voice, Vibro shot him a glare, hoping her nervousness wouldn't show. "Any sound whatsoever, and you'll end up like this lot."

Not taking any chances, Vibro ensured that any indiscretions from their captives did not travel beyond the immediate area surrounding the prisoners, blocking both incoming and outgoing sounds.

To Crossfire she asked, "Can you confirm number and sex of targets? It may be the agency couple who were staking our dead friend out."

Re: A Game of Throws

A sudden halt of footfalls took away Vibro's sense of where the two were now. Crossfire could see them just on the outside of the door, the man pulling a small gadget from his rear pocket and placing it near the security panel. Both of them kept to the sides as much as possible. This close, Crossfire easily recognized them from the drinks lounge, remembering them as the ones unhindered by any social conduct and public displays of affection in particular.

Vibro whispered frantically to QuikGayElf. "Can you tell that door not to open? We need more time."

Let's see how they react to unexpected visitors.

OOC: Quiktakes-it-up-the-arse-elf rolls a 40 on an attempt to convince the door not to open till he asks it to.

Quiktakes-it-up-the-arse-elf looked the door's control panel in the eye, and said in an authorative manner, "Do not open until I ask you to.  It is important.".

Re: A Game of Throws

The Lovebirds ducked and looked over their shoulders at the sound of a distant voice, looking at each other and back to the gadget. Crossfire watched the man nod toward the end of the hall while looking at the woman. She stayed low as she crept down the hall, her presence given away to Vibro once again as she moved away. Sugar-Baby was on the move, Snookems remained to open the door.

"I must let them in if they have the proper passcodes. It is in my core programming, unless I am given the override command. Would you like to issue that command now?" As the door offered this to QuikGayElf, a small green light appeared on the panel next to it.

The man looked back toward the woman as Vibro heard a "Psst." He motioned her back and began to place his gadget away.

Re: A Game of Throws

QuikGayElf thought momentarily whether issuing the override command could have a negative effect like setting off an alarm in the Security Office and the crucial moment of decision passed like wind through Crossfires trousers.

The door was left to slide open of its own accord.
