"What     have       you      done?"

Vibro's tone left no doubt that she was somewhat put out by Crossfire's deception.

Mostly to himself QuikCal mumbled, "No, don't fight... I can't stand it when you do that ugly make up ritual you have with that little arm thing and that... ewww"

Then more emphatically he announced, "I'll take a look on This machine to see where he has gotten himself to..."

Re: A Game of Throws

Since joining the military seven years ago, Crossfire had seen and dealt with many things, including torture and death. Horrific and potentially traumatising, most of it. None of it bothered him to any large extent. Personally, he had not had much to worry about, between discovering and iron hide and developing the skills of a killer that spent the majority of his time in one form of camouflage or another.

Yet here he wavered, like a deer caught in the headlights, a child who had just been caught stealing from the cookie jar by his mother. Whether or not he wanted to admit it aloud, Vibro was one scary bitch when she wanted to be. And, coincidentally, one of the only people who could or ever had been able to hurt him. He immediately thought of poor Cal holding his groin just a few steps away. Surely she wouldn't do that to him though. Certainly not here anyway. Would she?

Damn. She's blocking the only way out.

He had looked to Quiksit for some way to shift the attention, but the scaly bastard had only avoided it all by retreating into the computer. Even a giant lizard didn't want none of her.

"Aw, don't get yer panties in a bunch. Uh...I recall...I'm pretty sure that is...It was an if. That's right, an if. If it was needed, we'd get Vera. If the situation called for her." He decided the best way to handle this was to hold his ground.  Logic would prevail here. "Surely this qualifies." Maybe deflection was better. "Oh look. There's Whatshisfuckingnamethatstoolongtoremember."

Re: A Game of Throws

It was a confusing command for the computer at first, until QuikCal entered a twin type scenario. Targeting Crossfire as a sample, the software went into action, pulling up multiple faces at once only discard them a few seconds later. It took less than a minute to locate Sgt. Carnage.

In the service halls and entering the security runs, Crossfire's pale reflection of himself emerged. Seemingly, in his attempts at avoiding the security cameras, he managed to give them a perfect view of his face every time he placed his back to the walls as he darted in a zig-zag formation, almost bouncing off the walls. He was a ridiculous sight in a long woman's jacket and skinny jeans. Vibro pinpointed a distinctly shaped lump under the jacket as she glimpsed his back side.

Crossfire's smile at seeing himself turned to disappointment as he watched the scene.

To Quiksit, the computer began it's countdown to a complete wipe of information. In a matter of minutes, it would begin a one hour scan-and-clear program to eliminate any footage of them all.

Re: A Game of Throws

"Yeah, I can get him, I'll collect Wolfie too. Keep an eye on things in here.".

Vibro stepped over to the unconcious security chick, now laying bound in a tangle of electrical wire.  The lizard may complain about our backwards technology, but considering how many bullets it took and laser blasts, and with half it's wiring ripped out, it's a marvel of technological engineering that this thing is still running.

The binds came away with surprising ease, whether that was by brilliant design or poor application Vibro would never know, although she strongly suspected the latter to be the case. Once unbound Vibro relieved the guard of her uniform and with scant regard for modesty shimmied out of her own dress, perhaps more slowly, and more suggestively than strictly necessary. She hoped Cal and his now gelatinous cock was enjoying the show.

"You'll have to re-tie this one. Good practice for you."

The uniform was baggier than fashion would dictate, but not so much so to be noticeably ill fitting. Observing her reflection in one of the monitor screens, Vibro made last minute adjustments and she was finally ready.

As Vibro neared the door she laid a hand gently on Ed's shoulder. "Won't be long, hold in there.".

Almost as an afterthought she adjusted the receiver for her lapel mic and ear piece then turning back to Quiksit added. "Use frequency 94.8hz if you need, but don't give anything away, it's an open channel."

Finally, Vibro cracked the door an inch and carefully peeked out before exiting the security room.

Re: A Game of Throws

The hallway was empty. Left, right, then forward, Vibro scanned the halls to find them free of activity.

Cal, just noticing that Crossfire was addressing him, darted a glance at the mess still caking the floor and back. Adjusting uncomfortably, he opened his mouth a couple of times before getting anything out. "Hey now, I was just doing my job, man. You win, okay? You don't have to... to kill me. Though if I don't recover the use of my dick...."

Slipping through the door quietly, Vibro traded the room of gore for the pristine halls just beyond and moved purposefully toward her next target.  She found him seconds later. Only two staff members had passed through the halls within sight, neither paying more than a glance to what appeared to them as just another employee. The same did not hold true for Carnage. As he came into view of Vibro, he had also caught the attention of a Pit Boss from the house lobby, though from which game Vibro was unsure.

Carnage was not headed toward the security control room, but somewhere not far from it either. He gave no indication that he recognised Vibro. When the Pit Boss called out to him to say that he did not belong back here and he needed to get out before he called security, Carnage looked down the halls and began to reach under his jacket. Vibro wasn't certain, but she thought she caught a mumble of "Say hello..."

Re: A Game of Throws

Language and its subtleties was a subject Vibro knew a lot about. Words often had multiple meanings and without context one's own prejudices was all that made the difference. A single word, not even a word at all if truth be told, but given the right circumstances .... and with Sgt Carnage blundering around like a halfwit, resplendent in a ladies long coat, Vera forming what could well be mistaken as a grotesque deformity, if ever there was a right circumstance this was it.

Closing the distance quickly, Vibro called out sharply "Carnie".

To Sgt Carnage, a simple shortening of the name, aimed to grab his attention and hopefully stop Vera from making an appearance. To the pit boss however, nothing more than an obvious if not offensive reference to the intruder's unusual looks.

Having grabbed their attention, Vibro continued authoritatively "Outta here Carnie, you don't belong here. Come with me, before I get cross." with a not so subtle emphasis on the last word. When it came to Crossfire and his clones, subtlety was rarely called for.

Re: A Game of Throws

Navigating her way through the halls with the aid of her extraordinary hearing, Vibro wound her way past the occasional staff to finally enter a room full of slot machines. Only a handful of players pulled at the levers or pushed the buttons of the machines, eyes glazed over with the flickering lights that matched their dwindling pocket change.

Once among the machines, trekking to The Buffet was made quick by easy visibility. A lazy hand reached out as one person slurred to Vibro about their particular machine stealing their money as the two moved by. She was adequately ignored as Vibro and Carnage continued on through to the only room in the establishment that felt alive, especially considering what lay next door.

Despite the crowd, which appeared as though there were never a fake alarm to clear the room less than an hour before, it wasn't hard to spot the Blackwolf. On his way toward another exit, he was talking with another of the Native staff, keeping his head down in an obvious attempt at discretion.

In the security room, QuikCal found Cal's controls to be a better version of the rest, though still a disappointment. As he was looking around, Cal muttered to him, "So how do you do that? Look like me. But you had a tail. I saw it. You a mutant or somethin'?"

QuikCal snarled back at Cal, "Don't you have the decency not to interrupt a giant lizard while he is pissing in your office?"

When he had finished pointing his finger around Cal's now malodorous office QuickCal smiled his sweetest smile at Cal, "It is the latest Mossad sneak suit you overgrown tuna. Mention it to anyone and Tel Aviv will come down on you like a sand storm on a lost nomad."

Then he gave his finger a final shake over Cal, before returning to the computer console to poke at it some more.

Re: A Game of Throws

While Carnage became immediately distracted by the writhing and jiggling of the latest stage act, Vibro honed in on the conversation between the Blackwolf and his co-conspirator. There was only a moment of them listing names and mentioning positions throughout the facility when the co-conspirator stopped abruptly. Looking sharply at Vibro, the talking ceased. Joe, looking worried, caught his line of sight and his heavily lined face relaxed as his eyes landed on Vibro.

The two Native Americans made their way through the hooting patrons toward Vibro as comments about Crossfire's fight were flung at Carnage. "Nice fight" and "I lost money on you, Asshole!" were just a few.

"Hey look, I'm sorry. Let me make it up to you, because I wanna live. Enter my password of ELFSlikeFELCH2 and you'll have full access." Cal was clearly uncomfortable by QuikCal's last words but seemed sincere. Then he pulled at the crotch of his pants with a hissing through his teeth, trying to alleviate the discomfort there. "And maybe someone can get me some ice?"

Reaching Vibro,  the Blackwolf took in her new suit and smiled. "I won't ask where that came from. It's a good sign you guys are okay. After the fight, I hadn't seen, hadn't heard anything. Didn't know what to think. But I did notice a few less of Del's men around. So you're making progress?" Joe creased his brow at Carnage. "What's wrong with him?"

Re: A Game of Throws

Nodding towards Carnage, Vibro commented with a wry smile "The fight really took it out of him, he ain't half the man he used to be.".

Turning back to WolfDontGetYourHopesUpTheresALotOfKillinLeftToBeDone Vibro looked him in the eye, trying to gain some insight as to how much to disclose. There was an uncomfortable pause before she finally decided that the least he knows of their recent activities the better.

"Come with me somewhere private and we'll discuss the next steps." Not knowing exactly where "somewhere private" was, Vibro vaguely remembered noticing a set of change rooms near where they had met up with Ed, before heading to the control room. As good a place as any.

It wasn't far, and they made the short journey in silence. As they arrived, Vibro patted the Native American on the shoulder and said reassuringly, "We have things to discuss in private, stand guard out here and make sure no one enters.", then ushered Carnage and WolfWhatAShockThis'llBe into the male change room.

Once inside, Vibro checked there were no other occupants ... apart from the rather obvious naked man lying unconscious on the floor.

Re: A Game of Throws

The larger Native American had only glanced to Joe briefly before accepting Vibro's command to stand guard.

Satisfied that the change room was void of danger, Vibro once again went to hold the Blackwolf's attention, but his gaze was on man on the ground. Carnage smiled appreciatively at the laid out body and darted over to a heavily dented locker, stepping on the unconscious man to get there. As he rifled through the locker, Joe turned a somewhat uncomfortable expression from Carnage to Vibro and asked, "Ted was one of Del's?"

Re: A Game of Throws

Like I'm supposed to know

Vibro answered with noticable indifference "Probably just ate something nasty from the buffet.", before leading the chief to the far corner of the the change rooms where she was sure no one, including Ted should he be more conscious than he appeared, could hear.

Fixing ItsTheWoolefItsTheWoolef with a hard stare, she began. "Now stay calm and listen carefully.  Del and Cal have been taken care of, but there are complications. The FBI got in the way and it's gotten messy." Now there was an understatement. "Your family is in the Penthouse Suite with three guards. Here's how it's going to work."

Vibro outlined her plan in a quiet and even tone.  She hadn't discussed it with the others yet, but convincing the Chief of it's merits would go a long way towards getting it started. The plan was a simple one.  Quiksit and Vibro, disguised as they were like Cal and a guard, approached the Penthouse Suite escorting the Blackwolf and declaring that a conjugal visit had been authorised.  Once inside, the Blackwolf would calm his family whilst Quiksit and Vibro neutralised the inside guard.  Vibro would ensure no noises escaped.  Once the family were safe and the room secured, Vibro and Quiksit would exit. This would be the signal for Crossfire who was waiting invisible at the end of the hallway, and the three companions would then beset upon the hapless door guards.  Carnage would need to keep watch in the control room, to ensure that the real Cal and security chick didn't get up to any mischief.

Silence and a dumbfounded look followed the explanation of the plan. Finally Joe shook his head and said, "Okay. If you think that will work, I'm in. First, let me finish with Tom, the guard just out there. I was in the middle of organizing a revolt when you found us. After what you just said...I think it will go much easier for my men to succeed."
