Re: OOC

I'm not sure I was gone so much as waiting for it to move forward (or given my absent post should I say backward).

Awesome holiday at this end, I hope it was similarly good for you all.

Re: OOC

Mine rocked, thanks.

By the way, the game moves forward when you push forward. You can't make Vibro do all the work.

Re: OOC

Vibro always bitches whether she is doing all the work or not... so if we are going to have to hear the bitching we may as well make it justified.

Sometimes they get overworked and chaffed and then it is better to leave them alone and use other erogenous zones....

Re: OOC

Re your last post Vibe, glad we're on the same team. :)

You don't seriously think for a moment my weapons would be inaccessible underneath my outer clothing layer do you. I drew the knife from one of those large deep pockets that veritably litter the outside of overalls.

Re: OOC

Sorry Cross, Vibes is right. You need to use a CA to draw your knife, unless you have a special ability or skill (like quickdraw) that allows you to. Them's the rules as I understand them. And you're wearing a firman's suit to boot. Not saying you can't access it, but getting it out and using it immediately might not be easy.

Feel free to rules lawyer me here Hexus.

Re: OOC

So you agree it was miraculous. Although what common folk equate to miracles is often simply a manifestation of powers.

If I recall correctly, Crossfire MK1 had the ability to store and draw weapons from within some extradimensional space. It simply appears to me as though that power has started to manifest in new Crossfire, albeit a little less potently.

I'm glad you agree.

Re: OOC

Crossfire MK1 was also a demigod. But I think the pulling of items from extradimensional spaces was another teammate's ability. Another Asian perhaps?

Crossfire is just reaching for Godliness again. No shame in that. It just doesn't work here, in this system. Yet.

Re: OOC

I didn't think it counted for much but as you've pulled me up on it I'll make it a punch next time, I just thought it sounded cooler and that's what I thought you were after in the text.

I've been reading my way through the Raymond Feist novels lately and it's the sort of things his characters do without batting an eyelid. If they had to roll and risk failing for such basic abilities then no one would ever read the books.

No biggie, just giving some feedback on the system.

Re: OOC

On a standard goon I'd say that would work, and the mechanics can take a back seat. But that particular dude is not your average goon. Maybe for a future battle I'll make an army of goons that you can throw all the color and flare you want at it. Just keep in mind, if you can do it, they should be able to do it too.

Re: OOC

The cool comes in when something is hard but you do it anyway...

Errol Flynn still had trouble swinging from the chandelier, the cool bit is that he risked it going wrong and did it anyway.
