Escorted inside by the troopers, they were greeted by the elegant alien they'd seen inside.

"Master Jedis, we are glad for your arrival," the alien intoned in a slow, pleasant voice.  "We wondered when the Republic would come to claim their clone army.  We hope the current battle will prove their mettle."

"The Republic's clone army?" Senthil asked aloud, looking inquisitively at both Jedi Masters, with his mouth agape--the Mon Calamarian equivalent of an upraised eyebrow.

"Yes, the one ordered ten years ago," the alien continued in its slow voice.  "We apologize for employing them for our own defense but felt it necessary to protect your assets over all."

OOC Any response?

For the moment the alien's statement about the use of the clone army to protect the planet floated to the back of Senthil's mind.  He was still focused on the fact that the Republic had a clone army.  "Masters, why would the Republic order a clone army?  There was no threat ten years ago.  And who would have the authorization to order such a thing?"

Obi-Wan and Kit Fisto both looked troubled but didn't answer.

"Prime Minister Lama Su will answer any of your questions," the alien said.  "My name is Taun We, please...follow me."

Since Senthil could tell neither of the Jedi Masters knew what was going on either, he resigned himself to discovering his answers from these lanky natives.

They were led into a room where strange, spoon shaped seats descended from the ceiling for the 4 of them.  As the sat a Kaminoan who was presumably the Prime Minister, Lama Su, entered at a relatively speedy pace for the strangely smooth-moving aliens.

"We are glad for your arrival, especially considering our current circumstances," Lama Su explained.  "We hope your clone army is performing as desired in the activity above."

"'Our army'?" Obi-Wan asked, taking the lead.

"Yes, the army ordered by Jedi Master Sifo-Dyas."

"Master Sifo-Dyas?" Kit Fisto asked.

"Master Sifo-Dyas is still a leading Master on the Jedi Council, is he not?" Lama Su replied, clearing his throat, apparently uncomfortable.

"Master Sifo-Dyas was killed almost 10 years ago," Obi-Wan explained.

"Oh?  Well, I assume you are now here to take over the order then?"

Obi-Wan and Kit Fisto looked at one another.

"Of...course," Obi-Wan replied.

"Well, then the matter is settled.  Would you like us to show you your order in action?  Our war room allows a great view of the battle above."

"That's...why we're here!" Obi-Wan lied.  "But first, may I consult with my peers?"

Lama Su tilted his long head.

"I must discuss this with the council," Master Fisto said immediately as they huddled.  He turned to Obi-Wan.  "You and your apprentice go with the Prime Minister."

Obi-Wan and Anakin nodded gravely.

"Would it be alright if my apprentice and I returned to our ship?  We must update the council on this situation."

"Of course."  Lama Su indicated for Taun We to take Senthil and Kit back to the ship.  They left while Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Lama Su exited another door.

Taun We motioned Kit Fisto and Senthil past the guards and out of the doors.  Senthil and Kit Fisto enjoyed the brief rain on their skin as they returned to the ship.

Senthil stroked his barbels as he expressed his concerns.  "Master, this doesn't make sense.  Why would Master Sifo-Dyas, or any Jedi, order a clone army?  And the timing seems weird: right before he died." Senthil blinked his bulbous eyes.

"Master Sifo-Dyas was known for having visions," Kit Fisto admitted.  "But his death...that is most suspicious.  This combined with finding out Palpatine was a Sith Lord...I fear we may have all been manipulated."

OOC Anything to add?

Senthil nodded his head slowly in grave concern, his eyes blinking slowly once again.

OOC: Nothing else to add.

After apprising the Jedi Council of the situation Kit Fisto asked how they should proceed.

"The signal from the Chancellor's office triangulated back to Kamino, where there's an entire army waiting for us?" Ki Adi Mundi asked, stunned.

"An army ordered by Sifo-Dyas," noted Coleman Trebor.

"You're not suggesting Sifo-Dyas was working in secret with who we now know to be Sith Lord, are you?" Oshus, a Vultan, asked.

"But Master Sifo-Dyas was killed in an accident!" said Rulga, a Zabrak.

"Mmmm perhaps not an accident at all," said Yoda.  "Manipulated we all have been.  The pall of the dark-side lies over all the galaxy."

"We can't make any firm conclusions until we have more answers," Mace Windu cut in.  He turned to Kit Fisto. "Find them.  Do not leave Kamino until you've thoroughly investigated this situation.  We need to know everything."

Master Fisto bowed and the hologram of the council faded.

Senthil let everything the Council said sink in.  He found Mace Windu's call to find more answers especially important.  "Master," Senthil spoke up.  When he saw Master Fisto nod for him to continue, he said "I don't know much about cloning, but don't you need a host--an original DNA template?"  As Master Fisto seemed to be considering Senthil's question, he pressed on.  "If we can find this host, might he know something about Master Sifo-Dyas's intent on having the army created?"

"Well done, my Padawan."  Kit Fisto flashed Senthil one of his trademark smiles.  "Why don't we lose our way back to the others, hm?"

Senthil enjoyed the praise from his mentor and gave a smile of his own at the thought of sneaking around the complex.

"There is something you should always remember being somewhere you shouldn't be," Kit Fisto said as they made their way back inside.  "Always look like you're supposed to be there, unless you're trying to not be seen, then, if caught, look like you're genuinely lost."

OOC anything to say before we start looking?

Senthil knew that stealth and persuasion were not among his strengths, but he understood what his master was saying.  He replied simply, "I will do my best, Master."

The two returned inside but turned to go a different direction than they had come.

After spending an hour searching the building Senthil and Master Fisto had found nothing important.  Fortunately, they hadn't yet drawn attention to themselves though that wasn't likely to last much longer.

OOC: Can Senthil use Perception instead of Gather Information?

OOC Synergy Bonus, my good man!  You already got Aid Another from Kit Fisto, so 13 total.

IC Poking around, Senthil was able to overhear a reference to a "Jango" wishing to leave despite the conflict.  When told that would not be possible, the Kaminoan attendant bowed and left, heading North.

OOC I'm assuming you're going to follow the attendant.  To keep an eye while sneaking, you'll need to roll Stealth & Perception checks now.  Separate, but both with an Aid Another bonus of +2 from your Master.
