Re: Ponyville Business District - Sugarcube Corner
The inventor felt his cheeks redden at Mrs. Cake's compliments about what a cute couple he and Twilight made, grinning into his coffee cup as he sipped it. "I'm glad, too. I'd hate to think what Pinkie would do to me if she didn't approve. That filly is certainly creative. But then again, if her friends didn't like me, I doubt I would have even had the chance to go out with her." He tried to tell himself that he would have worked to win her friends over if that had been the case, but if he was honest with himself, he likely would have just let it be. He was way too shy and passive to do anything of the sort, unwilling to stir up trouble, even for his heart's desire.
He couldn't help but to laugh at Spike's comment about how she liked to worry. "Thanks for the advice, Spike, I'll take it to heart when she starts to get worried about something else in the future," he chuckled, sipping again at his coffee. "Yes, Quill and I only just met--"
But his assistant had rather suddenly got up and left, looking exceptionally upset at the line of questions. Widget looked immediately concerned, and set down his coffee cup on the table. He certainly had not expected that... "Ah... Thank you, for the coffee and conversation, Mrs. Cake," he said quickly, standing up. "See you later, then. You, too, Spike." He wasn't sure if Spike was going to follow, but he didn't know if it would be a good idea or not for him to do so. There wasn't much time to worry about that right now, though, he had a visually upset baby dragon heading toward a lock wooden house and needed to intervene before he did something drastic.
