NPC Characters thread

In no particular order...Characters in italics are people you have actually met. The rest you know only by report.

Safra Amprishad - a young woman in mourning for her murdered father - your employer

Prishad - a merchant of Largil in Morkesh, recently deceased in the Jekkarene port of Lyortha at the hands of...

Haliskome, a female sea captain of the Jekkarene navy, reported deserted complete with stolen ship, currently said to be on Solisand. Previously she brought Jekkarene goods to Thyrta, which were traded with...

Valsus of Pytna - a merchant resident here in Thyrta, formerly of the Korantine city-state of Himela (a city that is traditionally a rival and enemy of Borissa, on account of it being a democracy, something of which the Borissans do not approve). Suspected by Safra of having some hand in her father's death, being a rival in the market for Jekkarene goods. An associate member of the Borissan Syndics, of which the chief representative locally is...

Kortano, Syndic, head (meaning chief priest) of the local merchant's guild-cult. Suspected by Sanjar of shielding/comspiring with Valsus, although there is no direct evidence for this other than an encounter with...

Elkanos, a slave/secretary at the Borissan Syndics temple-office in Thyrta. Of Taskan heritage, provided little info and failed to arrange a promised meeting with Kortano

Rilados the Navigator, local celebrity sailor, providing the navigation directions to Solisand where it is said Haliskome is hiding out

Varoteg, a notorious local bandit, a Thennalt, who it appears has sent assassins to kill Safra, foiled by the PCs. Famous for his run-ins with...

Lord Sakrovar, a Thennalt chieftain who is very much pro-Korantine, having served as a Paladin to the current Korantine Emperor's predecessor. his son now serves Emperor Koibos XXIV in his turn

Arko of Solarne, an exiled aristocrat who governs the island of Tempigone (which is en route to Solisand according to Sallantus) on behalf of the democratic government of Himela

Aparinaon, resonsible for law and order in Thyrta as chief acolyte of Kos

Rikalos of Vimaylo, Borissan aristocrat and current governor of Thyrta (chief acolyte of the ruler-god Anayo, a post he will relinquish when Thyrta assumes independence of its mother-city)

Baron Solfernoy - governor of the Jekkarene port of Lyortha, one of only two places where foreigners are allowed to come and trade with the theocracy of the Jekkarenes, and where Prishad was murdered. Solfernoy granted Safra an audience on her journey to Thyrta, and informed her of Haliskome's part in Prishad's murder and her subsequent desertion.

Unknown Thennalts - met in Salty Mari's dockside tavern, who gave Rhaskos an odd kind of warning that the party and their employer may be the target of assassins

Medanthros the Educator - Thyrta's local scholar who has provided some fragmentary text bearing historic references to Solisand which describes a landing on the island complete with fight with a sea monster, as part of an attack on a character referred to as 'The Apostate'

Orinastron - Jekkarene thug/assassin, who along with accomplices Hebdomar - an Archipelagan, Tessenber - a Thennalt and Cradrerus - a Korantine (home city unknown) attempted a murderous attack on the PCs. Orinastron claims they were under orders from Varoteg.

Ivanthus of Tysil, grizzled veteran and leader of a mercenary 'patriotic band' from Tysil, a city at the other end of Korantia. Failed to get his band hired by Safra, but is reportedly often employed by lord Sakrovar.

Have I missed anyone?

Re: NPC Characters thread

In reply to Simulacrum (msg # 1):

Not unless you're intending to notate minor characters like the innkeepers Thalvi (Thalvi's Place) or Melcro (Floundering Turtle).  Otherwise the post matched up with the list of everybody Kordan's ever seen or heard about.

Oh, there's Ivanthus 'The Lion of Tysil', leader of mercenary unit numbering twenty-four strong.
