Re: Hera's Hearth and Kettle (OOC Chat Thread)

Hey guys, I work from home on Wednesdays so this is probably the best day for me out of the week and weekend to put in a game update. I think going forward I'll incorporate this into this game so I post updates on Wednesdays, though on other days I can certainly resolve a round of combat, for example, or post a response to a question asked to a NPC, and so forth.

Re: Hera's Hearth and Kettle (OOC Chat Thread)

Sounds good to me MM. Hopefully that way we'll be able to keep up a constant pace for the game while giving everyone time to find a window in their weekly schedules to post.

Re: Hera's Hearth and Kettle (OOC Chat Thread)

There's a few places in the narrative where you say "Dysis and Eurnomes"...but I'm supposing you mean Doria. Because I'm nowhere near Eurnomes.

So I'm playing it that way in my coming post.    Smack me with an olive oil soaked pita bread, if I'm wrong...

In reply to Dysis (msg # 926):

No Dysis, I don't think you are wrong, he also says Eurenomes instead of Itylus in the beggining. Seems like the MM mixed a little bit the names in this one hahahah.

Oh, yes.   What are names?   Characters all *splat* the same, regardless what they're called!

If they get to the river Doria can make sure for hours her companions can breath and speak under the water, its better than fighting it out.

Too many of you have names with the same letters. :-(

I'll go back and do some editing so that it's clear for posterity.

Re: Hera's Hearth and Kettle (OOC Chat Thread)

I had been doing descriptors kind of like you see in translations of the Greek epic myths, such as Swift-Footed Hermes, or Grey-Eyed Pallas Athena. Maybe I'll just keep a set of descriptors for the party. So, let me know your favorite adjectives and I'll try to attach those going forward. ;-)

I kind of like Omnipotent...    (kidding! will have to think on that)

Agreed - Dysis isn't the sort who will start a battle where it isn't needful.  I leave that to the barbarians and amazons.    ;)

Re: Hera's Hearth and Kettle (OOC Chat Thread)

So would Arthanos, but he also knows when to switch from diplomacy to 'Aggressive Negotiations'.

hmmm....anyone object to me giving some vague orders for the NPCS to head places? Mostly based on whether Lysandros is still here (Since don't want to risk his character).

Not here - start down slope with group, leave Lysandros to guard Efimia (I think that's the caster) part way down where she would have range for supporting the fight and take Mugarod and Myrine down to support you guys (maximum number of support).

If Lysandros returns, same plan, but leave Myrine to guard her sister and Lysandros joins the charge.

Any objections?

On vacation until later Friday the 27th, GM Doria will keep her two comrades breathing and talking underwater and heal them as far as she can, using her powers.

As a reminder, I plan to update the game tomorrow.

If no additional posts are put in, then I'll just assume a "watch and wait" attitude from your characters.

Re: Hera's Hearth and Kettle (OOC Chat Thread)

Players - as you'll see on the map posted in the game thread, each square is about 10 feet in distance.

Please consult your character sheets for the effective range you can move to. This is based on your encumbrance.

Enc. Status Movement
15 Unencumb. 60 feet/round
20 Encumbered 40 feet/round
30 Heavily Enc. 20 feet/round

I think most, if not all of you, have your encumbrance value noted in your respective character sheets.

If you do intend to move during the next battle round, please let me know in the game thread which square you want to go to. You can do this as an OCC addendum such as "Mugarod moves to K5" etc.

Thanks!

Hey Lysandros, good to see you back.

And gah, work has arced up so will be slow on posting. Start of school term and trying to finish/finalize lesson plans.

I'll post Arthanos actions, then leave some rough guidelines of what he'll do encase I'm delayed posting so I don't slow the fight.

Re: Hera's Hearth and Kettle (OOC Chat Thread)

In reply to Maze Master (msg # 943):

I've a question about this...my character is considered 'encumbered'...but, that's mostly because of a back pack containing things she'd take on an adventure.

As well, a wooden shield. (rules don't prohibit an elementalist from using one, 'case anyone's like 'what'?)

I doubt she was wearing the pack while on deck, nor carrying the shield.  Neither would she have detoured to her cabin to get either.

So, can I play as 'unemcumbered', but with the understanding I do not have those things?

In reply to Dysis (msg # 946):

Yeah that's fine we can operate under the assumption she left either the pack and/or shield up above with the horses.

Re: Hera's Hearth and Kettle (OOC Chat Thread)

OK, my schedule is horrible right this moment.

Posted my very brief action, and roughly what Arthanos would be doing for next little while. I will try to post, but if I fail to, that's my rough instructions.
