I understand you Eurenomes, real life has the annoying habit of doing that now and then.

Re: Hera's Hearth and Kettle (OOC Chat Thread)

Obviously didn't post an update yesterday, had some unexpected things come up. Will attempt to resolve the next round after I get home from work tonight.

Edit: will have to be this weekend. Simply did not have time to get on the computer Thursday after work.

Re: Hera's Hearth and Kettle (OOC Chat Thread)

Itylus:
Ignoring the burning sensation coming from his left side, Itylus retreated togetheer with Dysis from the frontline - his warrior companions seemed to be handling well things there and at the moment the hunter's priority was to keep that archer from targeting his companions.

Therefore, after having retreated near where Arthanos' stood with his bow, Itylus swiftly grabbed another arrow from his quiver, aimed his bow towards the free archer, and shot.

OCC:

11:41, Today: Itylus rolled 23 using 2d20+5, dropping the lowest dice only with rolls of 18,3.  Missil Attack v Archer #6 w/ Weapon of Choice and after tactical movement.

I think I did a Critical Hit. Am I wrong MM? How much Defense do this guys have?

Thanks for the reminder here, I am still working on getting reacquainted with the rules of the game. You did indeed score a critical hit, as did Arthanos in the last round now posted.

I'm not going to share the precise EDC of these enemies, but I'll note that they are mortal and not heroes, so while they are numerous they are weak both in defense, maximum HP (they can indeed be killed in one blow if you get enough damage) and in ability to resist hostile spells.

(ooc- Now where am I at this point?)

You are outside the combat map to the North. If you headed straight south like Eurenomes did you'll get to what his position was two rounds ago.

Re: Hera's Hearth and Kettle (OOC Chat Thread)

Apologies, another very busy weak.

Is Eurenomes' magic affected by the water? I'm assuming since 'Divine Wrath' is a bolt of 'spiritual' energy it won't electrocute everyone in the water like a D&D style Lightening Bolt?

While I think the spiritual energy is open to interpretation, I think in Eurenomes case it isn't going to be hampered by water.

Re: Hera's Hearth and Kettle (OOC Chat Thread)

Nobody (except for Aleta) has posted in the game thread yet so I'll hold off from doing another round. My schedule is a bit messed up anyway and I am traveling tomorrow and am out of town over the weekend, so I'll plan to resolve the next round next Wednesday.

Btw I don't know if you've noticed, but there is now this warning appearing when I write in this thread:

^ No worries.

Actually I'm not able to update tonight. My workplace didn't bother to adjust my caseload to reflect the time I took off so I've been trying to catch up these past few days. Tomorrow and Friday I'm dogsitting though so I'll have some more time to watch TV and make dice rolls. :)

Re: Hera's Hearth and Kettle (OOC Chat Thread)

I don't want people to lose interest as the battle rounds move slowly.

So, please let me know generally either OCC in here or IC in the game thread what your actions are for the next two rounds. That way we can try to speed things up a little bit for everybody.

I'd just note this:

1. enemies real strength is in their numbers, not in their abilities.
2. enemies' initiative comes last. Although in description it might sound like they are moving before you or around the same time, I will sequence out their actions to come last when comparing rolls, etc.
3. they are relatively weak, as I noted before, and can be killed with one good damage roll.
4. Dysis' Talons spell is and has been extremely effective and it is still active for quite a number of rounds still.
5. Once either of the swordsmen are killed, or at least half of the enemy are dead, then I'll be doing morale checks.

Re: Hera's Hearth and Kettle (OOC Chat Thread)

Well Doria wants to give one of the enemy a two on one attack, I would suggest charging the Archer and I'll stab at him with Doria's trident and her wife can go and attack the same one. Keep it simple.

Then turn on the next available target if that ones goes down doing the same thing.
