I'm so confused. Do you mean the Vehicular Combat feat (that Gates already has), the one that allows the negation of a weapon hit on our vehicle with a successful Pilot check?

Or one of the actual Starship Feats from Starships of the Galaxy?

Also, if it's the first one, does Gates get anything at all? Since she's already got that feat, obviously.

Theres a feat in Starships that is basically Starship Maneuvers.  Gets you 1+WIS modifier maneuvers to your suite; they're like Force powers, but for fighter pilots.

Again, we're not strictly using the system, but those will give you an idea of what your char is capable of when describing your actions, and I will make rolls accordingly as needed.  For ranges for those, just assume 'close' or 'long'; vague terms, since we have no grid and are going GM guided freeform.

Aha. Starship Tactics!
Add to your Starship Maneuvers suite a number of maneuvers equal to 1 + Wis modifier.

Found it.

Valid question though: Do we ignore the prerequisites of Vehicular Combat and trained in Pilot?

Hm.

Can Gates identify the make and model of those fighters, or any familiar coloration, etc? More importantly, how many of them are there (yes, I know you said 'squadron', but since our own squadron has varied between 7 and 4, I have to ask!) and are they a matched set?

Hmm.  Let me refer to my extensive and detailed notes.

Lets say... six fighters - half a squadron (you guys are one flight of four basically, they're two of three).  As for type, you're a little too far out to get a proper visual on them, but the silhouette is unfamiliar.

All silhouettes the same, though? Ie, a matched set of six, instead of the sort of rag-tag grouping that might be put forth by mercs or the like.

So I'll post it here just for posterity: go ahead and read up the non-archived Chapter 1+2.  We will pick up with a fresh Chapter 3.

As for characters, you have options:
- Jedi escapee from Dantooine
- Jedi who 'answered the call' or was already with the Fleet at the time; Fleet is at... Kuat or whichever major shipyard/port of call is near Dantooine, I can't recall which I chose at the time
- Starfighter pilot with the 7th Fleet (but not Aquila).  Actually, any pilot honestly... doesn't have to be Starfighter, as long as you can transfer the skills

We made it to level 11; so follow standard 28 point buy and level yourself up to 11 accordingly.  We'll be using the sheets more as references, rather than an actual, in-depth Saga game.

So, from you guys, I need two things: your characters (and applicable backgrounds/etc, doesn't have to be super detailed), and why they're with the 7th Fleet currently, how they got there, and why they were or would be picked for Aquila squadron.

I think I was already in the 7th.  I doubt my unit would let me transfer, given my ability.  I probably got tasked to the specific unit to help fill them out.  Mech/tech/comms/sensors skill and space combat?  Awwww yeah.

Apologies for the extended absence, my computer had some windows 10 issues apparently. It seems to be fixed now but in my almost complete lack of technical abilities I don't believe it. I should be back up to speed by the middle of this week...or so I'm hoping.
