Re: OOC
Kier, I've never given you a room have I? If you don't mind, Why don't you stay with Akito. You two seems to get along rather well...Plus I'd like to keep active players together for the RP to move much faster. Would that be fine with the both of you?

Fair enough.  Kier would have more paranoia issues around someone he didn't know anyway.

Everything is up to date, I will create an auditorium for the introduction ceremony after I finish some other stuff but within an hour or so we should be able to move all active players to the ceremony.

I have just updated "Thief / Tracker" In the S.F. dictionary, why don't you check it out. That will be our next main lesson when class begins so it would be good to hold some knowledge about it.

Re: OOC
To do it right it has to be something that means something to the academy itself... at least at the time the logo was designed... which could be very different even 100 years ago in the real world.

It might derive strongly from a coat of arms (which is merely an older form of logo system).  Feathered wings, scythes, warding runes in various ancient languages, all of these I know are attributed to death and some are militant or at least cautious in symbology.

A modernized logo should likely be a bridge or pathway, but even marking it with runes doesn't make it badass or anything.  I'm not sure how much Exorcism or militant spirit conflict is a part of it, or how much they would advertise that even if it was a big part.  Logos express what you WANT to advertise which is sometimes what you really do.

A Hunter or other militant might have a skull with scythes forming a crossbones to make a kind of pirate flag.

A Thief would have a ghostly or skeletal hand clasping with a hand of flesh, to perhaps display welcome and friendship, and while symbolizing partnership, kind of be a tongue in cheek way of showing that they are actually taking from others their souls rather than being friends.  A Yama might have the same kind of badge for friendlier causes and intents.

Re: OOC
My, you are quite the designer XD I guess we might start to have things going for the better if we keep this up.

-.-" But knowing your off time GM, this might take a while. XD But I'd like to design a logo or what not to represent the different branches in our Soul Society (The Seekers, Hunters, etc.) But for now, the school is the most important. If anyone is an artist and would like to do kind of a sketch of your idea, I'll open up a thread in the GM groups so that we could start brain storming, when I get my idea figured out I'll make sure to post a pic of it there too so that everyone could give me some opinion as to what changes or what could be enhance and so on ;) Sounds good to everyone?

Re: OOC
I'd have to know about the history of the school... is it predominantly formed of a particular ethnicity?

If it was founded in the times of the Pyramids then one of those might figure into it prominently as that was a tomb for kings.  If you were to have a Taoist influenced Yin-Yang with stitching for trees but at half density, then it would create a 'spirit forest' effect and still link the location to the purpose.  The school's name and the Spirit Royal House insignia should probably figure in as I imagine they are prominent sponsors for the academy.

Re: OOC
*Soul Master's speech might take a while....especially because I'm still working out the bits and pieces. ;) But don't worry just give me a good hour or two and I'll get us back up and running XD I was also planning on inviting someone from the Royal family as well. But we'll see.

Re: OOC
I know I've said in an one or two I'd have it up but everything got deleted before I could post the first time around... It was rather annoying tying it all up from scratch for a second time but other than that and the couple hours delay I was able to get it up and running. Players, you are all free to post once more ;)

I don't believe so... Everyone kind of stopped posting so I decided to move things along. (I'm actually a couple days late of updating from the reminder I posted in "time of day" ) But we all could resume as normal.

Update:
The Dinner Ceremony has just begun and everyone is starting to make their arrival to it...

Re: OOC
In his defense... he gives off an excess of energy that ANY spirit can feed off of when he's riled.  Its just that a specific spirit has been cultivating his emotional flavor by subjecting him to a LOT of misfortune hoping to set him up to become a monster very quickly after his death, but to postpone that death to get as much energy as possible before making him a lacky in their plot to overthrow the universe.

Its a complex plot, but the bad guy is smart, patient, and pretty powerful.  Mostly the other two, but the badguy isn't a glass jaw.

Re: OOC
Kier, are you talking about my post? Don't worry about it. Everyone is suspicious about everyone. They might not show it but bet you they all think it. When it concludes, it's just about whether they are interested in busting you are not....  +Izanami already said, she's here for her own reasons so as long as our reason's don't clash. There's no need to explain. It's a free world. Leave the explanations for when you get caught... ;) Or at least that's how I picture this game. You don't have to explain sh*t until you get caught because you pretty much lost if you do. Easy and simple as that.

Kier can't or doesn't hide the energy.  It should be common knowledge.  That's why I put it out there for people.

Re: OOC
The interesting things you learn while researching:

If you must put down you chopsticks place them on the sides of your bowl or plate; never leave them sticking upright in a bowl of rice. It is a reminder of death as this is how one offers rice to the dead according to Buddhist tradition.

Pass food to another person by placing it directly on their plate or bowl. Do not pass from chopstick to chopstick; this again is related to funeral rites and is sure to ruin your Japanese friend's appetite.
