Re: OOC
Knew we were having new players but.... did we change the theme to real life instead of anime?

Re: OOC
It isn't quite as professional, but it gives the right impression of a big guy and it's Anime for the sticklers.

Re: OOC
There aren't many islander male Anime portraits... but this one does have the scars... so you'll still have to use the text descriptions for both of us.

Yeah, it was hard to find a decent one that didn't look 12 years old.

Re: OOC
I think there's a difference between 'young man' and 'child'; one that Japan does not realise. I want to look respectable, but young, not like I'm waiting for my mother to come pick me up.

A respectable overweight old man is almost impossible to come by too... so it seems.

Re: OOC
I'll give you that, but they deal with 'foreign agents' all the time.  and they're not really all that different stylistically.  Skin color and maybe their hair and eyes, but with anime the hair and eye colors are fairly arbitrary anyhow.

Re: OOC
Those they you're talking about is one of my own. I could argue about this all day starting with actually the anime style... Though they do go over board in some areas (like you mentioned) the hair and eyes, but it's just reflect off of cultural aspects. So you have to respect that about anime... but let's just change the subject...

Re: OOC
I mean no disrespect, there are few singular styles that are so prevelent the world over... I'm also not saying that I enjoy the stories that are generally beautifully illustrated and/or animated, if not downright breathtaking.

I'm just saying that a profile pic that is both sylized and featured appropriately is difficult on here.

I think there was a miscommunication back there though and I'll let it go after I try to correct it.  The 'they' that I was speaking of earlier wasn't artists or writers... I meant in many manga and anime series there are frequently conflicts with other nationalities who are drawn with little difference to the protagonist cultural build.

Re: OOC
Well, it depends... Some of the roles are already taken (They were ideas that player's suggested) and others aren't really that necessary so I was just going to use them as an NPC character if we really do need them in the future. The ones we do need are in the roles information page.
