Re: OOC

Even if we don't have the character sheets locked down you can post IC now.

We do want to lock that info down ASAP but right now we're not getting shot at so not likely to need skill checks.

Re: OOC

I think Mature should do. Blowing things up and the occasional lost limb doesn't seem to be adult rated in my mind.

Re: OOC

Re: OOC

Its okay to post the link here.

Taps, alot of us where frustrated at a Starships Trooper game that did not start. If people get interested here or elsewhere that's all good. I've been around RPOL for years. Its not unusual to play in 2, 3 or more games so long as real life lets you keep up the posting rates in each.

Re: OOC

I get it, I'm not new to RPOL, just to ST rpgs.

How are we as it moves toward getting underway?

Well ain't that special.

Do you think that will get you special treatment?

Well maybe your right but its not the treatment with cakes and candles.

Now move it!

Re: OOC

Good rolls make Taps look like a Super Genius... in nearly everything.  Except the mechanical stuff he's been doing his whole life... odd.

Was I right to assume that only 1 attribute may be applied to any given skill roll?

Re: OOC

Generally yes, one attribute per roll.

In strange situations there might be more than one but we will let you know about them.

Re: OOC

Is taps in his room yet? Or in Sony's room? I'm a little confused. I'm going to be writing myself in as Taps roomate, when he gets there.

Re: OOC

Reaper and I are also figuring out the eqiupment borrowing very heavily from the d20 game. Mostly me writing it up with him tweaking things or answering questions. When its ready we will put it up in player viewable threads.

As we don't have the gear yet its not a big deal. Just letting you know on the behind the scences progress.

Re: OOC

To help guide our story telling I have a request for each of the players. You can answer this by PM is you wish it to be more private.

What are three scences you would like your character to be in?

This would be for the near future of recruitment and first part of boot camp. They may or may not be ones that make your character look awesome. Looking for the sort of thing you would enjoy playing.

Sony's are:
- Having to do medical treatment on someone's accident
- Cooking the 'squad' a meal
- Getting pushed to her limit in physical training

Re: OOC

Things that kind of play to the character would be:

-Repairing some machinery while someone else is still filing the paperwork to get it examined.

-Using his construction knowledge in some assault or defensive exorcize.

-Proving that Big doesn't mean Strong (he has no points in it after all).

-Proving that Big doesn't mean Stupid.

-Anything REALLY bad happening (He has a 2 stability, taking stuff in stride and being calm enough to get stuff done is good, but he has no leadership... so he might have to learn to get others to calm down too)

Re: OOC

got a 2.  Size might be a blessing or a curse... Agility should keep Taps from crushing anyone... Calculation might help Taps find a better route... Construction might also be applied at least in part, since it is moving with big stuff.

I'm just arguing for not fouling everything up... not saying the character isn't struggling or even failing to make much progress.

Re: OOC

Actually.. Guess there are some other attributes that add in hauling a mess a stuff

fitness + size + endurance + str

Calcualtion is about doing math. Its stairs. Count them if you want but it won't help haul stuff.

Re: OOC

sorry for the quiet. Starting placement rounds on monday for my Masters of Teaching and been trying to get everything ready and organized.

Athletics is general sort of above average everyday physical activity. SO jumping, climbing, running and so forth. When you start to push yourself harder and furthur, you start drawing on other things (endurance and agility and such). SO someone who runs intermittently or goes rock climbing occasionally wouldn't have much skill, but would sue athletics. Someone who runs everyday or rock climbs every week end, would be trained.
