Re: OOC

It was made to be an Armor sized shockstick.  He may be unconscious, but there is almost no reason to suspect that the pilot is by any means out of position to be useful in an hour or two... if not otherwise awakened.

And he did take part of a Hell Week mission so will pass the course.

Passing is about showing the capacity to conduct a military operation.

Re: OOC

The arty pit was at the hill firebase in B3 (IIRC). You guys didn't go there.

Co-incidently its jungle patrols are have a real messy time looking for the debris of your drop pods.

Re: OOC

The arty should not be an issue they will not fire if we are mixed in with friendlies and need precise targeting to matter.

All depends on whose firing and what their training is.

Yes, the mortar at the hill base has the range to fire into this one.

Speaking of spotters....

There was that jungle patrol, guys in the jeep and two guards at the dock. :-)

Re: OOC

Well we can always take out the arty or take over the base to support the attack on their primary compound with the arty, she will do what she is told to do.

If they fire one round of artillery they are going to have a simulated Orbital strike to deal with.

Re: OOC

Oh don't forget Boomer's Wedding thread, you all can have the characters come if you want its at least a chance to role-play out of Hell Week then onto the wedding after a hopeful graduation.

Graduation should be good the specialty schools are more intimate so there should be ample pomp and chest pumping out and patriotism. :D

You could find and plug up the air intakes on the bunker.

To survive a nuke strike the bunker would have to have a life support system of some sort so it could last some time cut off. It would be on the order of days - weeks depending on the system and amount of people.

It is also possible the bunker has wiring going to the base computers or communications gear. Certainly would have some surface condition sensors to tell those inside if it was safe to come out.

Re: OOC

Why would they have air intakes if its a "modern" bunker it could have a self-contained system like a suit that could go on for a month or more. And if they had computer or other connections they would be using them. My guess its a safe room with enough food and water plus an alerting system that could go on for weeks. I figure it will be better to not bother with them and make sure they can't get out to cause trouble.

Re: OOC

In reply to Boomer (msg # 754):

That's kinda what I was saying.

a) There is air intakes to freshen the air if they can use that air.

b) It can go on sealed for a long time.

c) both of the above

the answer is c.
