" How about you look after that while we have a look about.", he said amiably, handing the man the flask.

The man took the flask and waved them through, " Don't break anything either!"

The trio made their way onto the building site and noted that already much of the ruined structure had been reworked and supported with wood and stone and that the refurnished villa would be quite spacious once completed.

Rabbie noted a ladder poking up from a trench and they saw that it headed under the walls and perhaps into the cellar.

As they considered descending Kores spotted a heavily tarnished bronze coin in the mud which, once brushed of showed a mans head on one side and an eagle on the other...the script on it was too perished to read.

Kores briefly shows it to the others before pocketing it.

"More Selentine artifacts?  I wonder who else we might dig out of this place...  Old men with multiple personality disorders?"

Rabbie led the way into the cellar, there was some dim moonlight filtering through the scaffolding and they were able to see a little.

The space appeared to be of reasonable size and the floor was suprisingly dry and solid considering the amount of rubble that must have recently filled it.

" So what are we after down here?", Rabbie said poking at the walls with a piece of wood from the scaffolding.

" Bah, I can't see a damn thing."

" Wait.", he took another piece of timber and breathed on it softly.

A flame sprang into existence on the end of the impromptu torch, illuminating the area.

In reply to Colm Cernach (msg # 210):

As Colms flame illuminated the cellar the stones sprang into stark relief, despite the many centuries they were still in place and the walls seemed solid and strong.

As Colm turned the flame about he was shocked to see a face looking at him.

The face was a strange sickly salmon in colour and projected out from the wall, though seperate from it, it was slightly simian in contenance but its eyes were black voids.

As the three men stared it spoke in a rasp, " Kores......you have an appointment to keep...".

Kores, for once looks anxious, he repeatedly brushes his hair back, eyes wide and pale, if possible, paler than he usually is with his nocturnal nature....

Kores mumbles, slightly less certain of himself and looking confused...

(occ, I can't be bothered looking through the posts for that guy that was trying to eat Bael...  The price you pay when you could've shoved your meatshield into the jaws of demons....  ...And damn, Kores actually had to force a smile for his wedding!  Friends are so demanding...)

Try as he might Kores could not identify the thing. Though he noted a slight similarity to the blueish horror that had called itself Artisan in the old tunnels....perhaps some sort of lesser demon sent to fetch him?

Its shark-eyes regarded the other two for a moment then swung back to Kores.

With the other two seemingly having no further objections the strange being reached a thin pink, simian looking arm through the stone and grasped Kores by the arm. An instant later he was yanked into the rockface and disappeared from sight.

Kores felt the same strange sensation as he travelled at speed through the earth and stone and was deposited unceremoniously into the cellar he had left an hour or so earlier.

The other two were gone but there was some evidence that they had done some digging around and possibly found something.

As Kores looked around he tried to remember where they were supposed to meet.....Hens Roost? Something like that?
