Wah so its like a genie? Lol
Why not we just ask him assasinate kilned or wadeva his name is? Lolx
What answers is random depending on where you are. How it acts is random depending on its kinds usual demeanour. What it can do is limited by what it says in the beastiary...or if I roll a local special then what my notes say. I have copious tables..
So anything is possible....not probable by any means but possible....
[5 blank lines suppressed]
...also if Colm knew about any of this he'd be having an aneurism about now... :D
Ok, I'm going to do some examples so it makes more sense since I seem to be causing confusion. Normally I do these as secret rolls but for this example I won't.
Lann uses ring in the middle of the deep forest, Siren Woods, in Glissom. So I use the Forest Table adjusted for Siren Woods.
14:51, Today: GM, on behalf of Toirneach Lann, rolled 1 using 1d100. Summoning Ring.
I'm
so glad this is an example.....I already know that 1 is
Lord of the Beasts attended by a court of a dozen Beastmen. If we were in the Mountains and Hills of Glissom this basically means an avatar of Aphails goddess has just shown up.....but in Siren Woods this means that Finn Bheara, the High King of the Aes SĂdhe shows up flanked by his court....how things go from there will be hilarious...also you will all likely die unless some exceptional rolls are made. He is essentially magical Godzilla and will utterly ignore any attempt to control him....if he's amused he may help in his own way.
Lets try another....
Ok, Lann uses the ring in the centre of Glissom City. So I use the City table adjusted for Glissom City.
15:07, Today: GM, on behalf of Toirneach Lann, rolled 24 using 1d100.
Faerie options are pretty limited in a city and 24 gets you a Grey Gnome, grumpy...prone to fits of anger but not overly powerful. It will grudgingly do whats asked if its in its power. Decent spies, good area knowledge, good at sneaking and seeing things, can turn a road into a quagmire etc.
