I suppose Lann is testing if he can unravel the enchantment if you guys don't mind, especially since I am expending my own magic points and not using other's...;)

Re: OOC THREAD 5

Just to check (since I may have missed this) - have we crossed the border? Is the reference to a "new fair king" to Cobin?

Re: OOC THREAD 5

Wait, as far as we know the plague priest and wodewose we’ve been dealing with are the remnants of some crazy cult that had run Ereworn from the shadows until Cobin and his people drove them out? I feel like we learned that at some point. If not let me know, because if all we know of Cobin is that he did a coup and then started murdering people indiscriminately then Usopi will have different thoughts about Ereworn.

I mean, I remember being told that, but I wanted to make sure it happened IC and not OOC.

Looking back over the IC I don't think you were told for sure one way or the other, the others got a sob story from a group of Erewornians before Usopi and Chlainn joined them, other sources of info have been Old Hugh and the Hewells who gave a different twist on things...I'd say after seeing Hallowhall Usopi at least would feel the change is for the better at least for Ereworn.

Re: OOC THREAD 5

Yeah, I think our initial run-ins with the Erewornians who crossed the border (including the guy whose body we are now carrying) gave a very negative impression of Cobin and his two henchbods (Strawberry and - I forget the other's name?) as evil usurpers now persecuting everyone. Of course, those with reason to flee have largely  been Duke Darion's people. I don't think we made the link with the plague cult and the rulers, though?

I had the impression that we hadn't decided yet whether Cobin was a usurper in a simialr manner to Kilnded, or an improvement on the mad duke!

Correct.  Usopi and Chlainn may well have a different opinion to the rest of the group as they're working from a slightly different set of info.

Corbin is Garth's lord? Garth seems slow witted but decent. Hmm and poor since he hasn't got any magic loot.

GM, could I get an estimate on how many barrels of Cider/Scrumpy Chlainn has had? (Assuming he's finished off any of them. Not sure how much he's actually drinking or how big the barrels actually are.)

Re: OOC THREAD 5

Vaguest recollection 2 barrels.  Maybe 3rd though I don't know how to stack that on a hoss.

OOC: Ok, deducting 4 silvers and 1 copper.  I'll take 2 cidersand 1 scrumpy.  Wiki says Scrumpy is dry.  Is that the reason why its more expensive?

Ok, its all gone...  just in time....

Re: OOC THREAD 5

GM, I'm reading this as if the children and moms of the town are donating their toys for the Cernach babies. However, before I post as if that is the case, I just want to make sure they're not offering to sell them to me, since that is what I was originally looking for.

Re: OOC THREAD 5

I am not the GM, but got the impression they were donations, even widows and orphans have pride, and the need to be compassionate. I could be wrong about that though.

I don't think that would upset the locals if Usopi made a cash donation to the local poor via whatever persons he thinks would best use it for the community. What goes around comes around, as Great Auntie Vulgaria would say...

Me personally, I reckon every child needs whatever their version of a stuffed pink rabbit is sometimes.

My apologies for the delay in completing the IC post I started yesterday, it's just been one of those technical hitches that sorting out the human element of was the most difficult part of getting it fixed.

Thank you all for your patience.

Are the withered trees on either side of the road as thick as the woods have been leasing here? Aka, Would Aphail have cover enough to sneak forward and scout the area closer to the ruined building before we go marching down the trail?
