Usopi Venia:
Are the withered trees on either side of the road as thick as the woods have been leasing here? Aka, Would Aphail have cover enough to sneak forward and scout the area closer to the ruined building before we go marching down the trail?

Its a bit barer but still possible.

Who's got the torch?  Chlainn don't mind, but I didn't exactly stock up on lantern oil.  Shall we just fumble about in the darkness and head back up?

Caith’s got her light magic and is with us. Alternatively I have a lantern in my pack if we want to save MPs.

Re: OOC THREAD 5

Caith can burn the 1 MP for Moonglow, but it's a bit pointless if there are brighter sources of light available. Main advantage of it tactically is it's a bit less noticeable than fire light to any observers.

Only reason she hadn't cast it was the torch Alphail took down first. If needed, she'll cast it, but she does have a lantern of her own, and a spare flask of oil.

Re: OOC THREAD 5

GM, when you said there was a hole in the wall to the north, did you mean that the masonry and stuff had caves in vie a hole in the wall to the north, or that there was a hole in the wall to the north that was not filled with dirt and thus impassable? I read it as the hole being the cause of the cave in, but if there’s a path north through an open hole then I’d probably be a little more wary of something coming through it. :P

There is a gap in the wall to the north west but the noise is coming from the rubble to the northeast.

In reply to GM (msg # 51):

Probably undead, crawling its way towards us.  Chlainn might get a fright attack since he's never seen undead, ever, as far as I can recall.  Bears, rabid dogs, weird spirit beings from another plane of existence...  but not undead...

In reply to Chlainn Vacrolann (msg # 52):

If the dead cow wasn't moving when it landed on Chlainn, then it probably doesn't count as undead.

And in Caith's case, she's got her own issues with the dead not being exactly dead, but I don't think they count either.

That was just a python esque situation.  No sign of undead anywhere.  Nope, no reason to panic.

Re: OOC THREAD 5

In reply to Chlainn Vacrolann (msg # 54):

I think even a big dog like Gat would have problems trying to grapple with a two meter long serpent. As for Griff, the big man ain't here. Just a mad bitch in wolfskins, a hearthwarden with a lot on his mind, and a warlock looking for wealth and fame.

So how much is a giant snake worth on the open market? Lann might have just got lucky...

Re: OOC THREAD 5

Lol, I have no idea why I can’t seem to get where everything is, but the place where I’m seeing the material hanging on the wall is in the hole to the north west, not over the rubble to the north east, correct? Or am I seeing it behind Lann, on the others side of the rubble, as he walks back over the mound?

Have fun, and have a safe trip.

Yes, I know 'heavy drinking' and 'safe' do not always pair well, but you only get to tell the drunken tales of adventure if you survive them.

That being said, cheers, and have one for me.

Re: OOC THREAD 5

OK, I have edited the most recent PC post I made, because I finally have a plan of some kind to do something about the current predicament IC. You'll have to forgive Caith being cautious, but she does reckon that annoying a god in their own temple to be a most unwise and dangerous thing to do.

However, the suggestion of Mars at work on dungeon site is one to make me yell "Bad God! No territory for you! DIE FOR THE QUEEN!" and start looking for a crowbar. To be fair, Caith defines 'Good Engineering' as 'Engineering she can't figure out a way to break', rather than merely durable.
