Usopi Venia:
Yeah, that forcefield last round probably saved my life. :D

Now you just need to swig the potion.

I don't have any magical weapons to fight these. My bow is still upon the wall. So I'm heading in side...

Re: OOC Thread 6

To Usopi: Fishing line bolt idea is one for later, I agree, and I have no idea if it's doable. Just writing it down so I don't forget it. I also don't know if it's disrespectful to Artia to suggest it to Alphail IC, so I'll leave at that for now.

Also OK, if that's your call on healing Gat, fair enough, just get to the house.

To Beathan: Had a feeling it was going to be a tricky job to sort out Deise's blindness.
Uthen's madness is even harder to deal with though, and IIRC, Brannon is the one to talk to about that.

And cheers, because the party isn't dead yet. :)

By the way, what the PC's are making for is known as a beehive hut, if I have the right translation of the word.

Looks at Uthen's heraldry. Hmmm, maybe I can do something with that...

Following Caiths suggestion, Deise will spend a round composing himself before crawling toward Ser Uthen and trying to help - hopecully in the confined space of the hut i will be able to sense the knight.

In all this commotion I've lost track of ... Where is everyone standing?

Could I lift Deise or Uthen to get them inside?
A fully armoured knight would be difficult, but little Deise should be relatively easy.

Deise is inside. Uthen just outside the door with Garam, Brannon and Holt either side. Usopi is moving away from the door towards exterior of farm. Caith is just inside doorway. Aphail is currently out of sight.

Re: OOC Thread 6

In reply to Deise (msg # 38):

Caith's logical deduction (And that's pretty good with Third Eye up!) is that a man who can find his way back through a combat while blind is definitely a man who can be trusted to find his way in the dark to a loudly freaking out comrade. Hearth has heat as a warning to the blind too.

I know it's a tough job for Deise under the circumstances, but Caith is grateful for the help, and she's counting on Uthen recognizing the voice talking to him.

Though technically speaking, if Caith is 'the red haired lady'? She is still with Deise and Uthen, she's just standing by the door. All the best lies contain a little truth...

Re: OOC Thread 6

If Beathan can help get Uthen through the door, and inside the house, that's another familiar voice to help calm him down. Well, more familiar than Caith's voice anyway. :)

I doubt Caith is much use by herself physically dragging Uthen in, and she's trying to slow the shades attack down.

How close are the windows to the door? Could edit IC post to use the view from there to cast Transfix from, but she still has to be close to the door to talk to Deise.

YEE-HAH! Almost dropped the Shadow on my own!?!?

The Shadow (RA) took 28hp damage before being destroyed - what a unit!

That was the 3rd or 4th potential full party kill of this game, folks, but no one died right?

Yeah, pretty sure everybody’s alive, though that’s assuming they’re gone and not just pulling back a little. In which case, how do we track them to their lair for daytime murder?

In reply to Caith Cernach (msg # 53):

The thing that spoke to me had a heavy local accent. Maybe that suggests that the lair is local.
When all is calm I feel we need to speak with locals and scout the land during daytime for landmarks, carins, barrows, runins - anything looking like a place a darkness elementlist/necromancer might call base.
If we make it through the night we need to prepare for tomorrow night
- have a bonfire going if that wont disturb the sheep (and a means to replenish/restart shiould it  e quenched).

Deise has  potentially made a deal with god - to make amends by defending the weak and slaying evil - but I need suggestions from all of you as to how best utilise a blind silent killer.

In reply to Deise (msg # 54):

Beathan reckoned he may be able to deal with the blindness issue.

Caith's still sifting through evidence and figuring who is next on the healing list.
And she could name at least one local-ish site she's got some lingering concerns about, but it's a fair trek to get to, so it may not be the site we're looking for.

How far can a creature composed of spite and shade move in nearly half a night? That would give us some idea of where to limit the search area at least.

If it's an enchantment there's little I can do. But I can check run diagnostics/check for diseases and use a cure disease balm.

Cath: as to your healing, I have two healing balms left and they're only good for a week. So maybe use those in preference to your magic, at least until dawn.

Also, I can use Pursuit to hopefully track these things, but if they were magically created, the sent will vanish.
