Flowing through into the other room Lann found a metal lined chamber its floor and walls coated with hundreds of hooked blades.  Channels in the floor drained to a central recessed pool, within it was a tarry black residue that smelt like old blood.

Does lann see any doors in this room?

Just the one you entered by.

Lann casts perception of sorcery. If nothing magical, he goes back to the previous room and checks the door on the right side.

With no signs of magic present Lann drifts back through the room, the silent observers watching the reddish fog angrily...

Entering the other room it is, by contrast, impeccably clean.  Dark velvet drapes hang on the walls and a single black candle flickers on a bare metal desk.

A locked metal cabinet sits against the far wall, next to it is a barred metal door. A metal chair sits behind the desk and on the desk next to the candle are an inkwell and quill.

If there are no signs of magic Lann moves into the room with the barred door

Lann drifts through the barred door and s he does so he feels his feet touch down on hard stone the gaseous form having ended.  His eyes still cast a powerful reddish light illuminating the room and they light upon a figure at the far end of this short narrow corridor.  It regards him with an air of amusement, " You have come far, Lad."

The deep male voice chuckled and shrugged its armoured shoulders, its face unseen within a blackened steel helm.

" Do you know who addresses you?"

Ooc: haha just before I could terminate it. Does he fit the description of halfgan or bealfric?

OOC:

If you had to guess: Hafgan.

"I supposed a great man like you has to be Hafgan, Lann says, casting Enhancement and drawing his blade in a polite stance for pallying while getting ready.

" Indeed, I am. And you are....alone...."

" Why do you not join me? You seem capable, and I can smell the taint of ancient evil upon you.  We would be a powerful force to bring order."

As the figure spoke Lann felt the tension leave his muscles and his weapon lowered to his side....his spell dies on his lips and he watched passively as the armoured form approached him.

" Much better."

" Now what do you say to my offer?"

Lann is Mesmerised and can do nothing physical except stand passively until the vampire leaves....or the vampire finishes feeding.  He is able to speak however as the vampire has given permission to do so.

Ooc:  does it mean I can still think? It’s 30 seconds since I conversed with him?

" Smart...or lucky...."

" My....condition...allows me an intimate knowledge of the scents and intricacies of blood...and there is a scent to yours of ancient dark."

" Power? Power I can give....if I choose."

The hulking armoured form reached out and lifted Lann off the ground easily with one arm.

" I propose to you a question."

" Are you predator or prey?"

“It depends. I don’t supposed you can tell me what sort of power you can give? Luck is important to survive in the world.”

" You are beginning to bore me....that may not be your best tack to take."

He laughed hollowly within the helm.

" I can make you young and strong and powerful forever.  Or I can make you a drained corpse."

Lann smiles and takes his sword and dagger and forms the shape of a cross. “I have seen your true colors.”

Ooc: if it is possible Lann will present the cross and cast terminate enchantment.

Lann raised the blade as a cross his other hand forming the spell to banish the enchantment.

As Lann regained control of his body the armoured figure dropped him to the ground and batted the ' cross' aside.

" You have then chosen death, very well."

The figures blade was suddenly in his hand and arching towards Lanns throat. Lann desperately threw his blade up and deflected the blow......

Ooc: can I summon fey and strike in same action. I have magic dagger and that’s +2 to attack defence l, abr w damage. Also can I see if he is wearing armour? Attack 26 he must be very high level

As described earlier he is wearing black-grey plate and maille.  Well, high level + vampire + very nice sword.

Summoning fey takes an action.

Ooc: yes I believe level 9 knight with skills in weaponskill, +3 sword. Generally I will either become highly well equipped with magic or dead. Hahahah ok drinking Potion is also an action? I wait for some advice first

Lann uses the spear nd dagger to form a cross and at the same time, summon a fay if he can while moving to the door.

OOC: Not attacking him just forming a cross and summoning fey not sure if it is possible.

Lann backed up against the steel meshwork grate that formed the door he had entered through in mist form. He called upon the power of the ring and there was a sudden stench of spilt blood and the shadows crawled and shuddered.

Hafgan halted his assault looking down at the hunched and twisted creature that stepped from the darkness...its boots were iron, a pikestaff was clutched in taloned hands, red eyes burned in its face over sharp teeth and blood dripped from its red-soaked cap.

" Oh....yes....this is a lovely place.  Much as I appreciate your appetites Lord Hafgan...I am bound to answer to the young morsel."

It flicked its baleful eyes to Lann, " What is it you wish, nibblet?"
