Can’t really remember fighting alongside him as it was years ago. But I think he should be quite powerful now
Hmm Fortress Armour is good ;) though I am thinking that will require me to be at least level 12 since I am thinking of getting poise again at level 8;) that will give me an evasion of 8 ;) and a defence that is enough with all e spells to avoid being hit by the dragon ;) darn i think by the time we all get to level 12 Dm probably have to send Magalsh at us ;) hahaha

Re: OOC Thread 7

I have currently playing DW online during lockdown.  We have upto 6 players (usually 4) and have had 8 players throughout the campaign.  I have never actually played ALL the scenarios, in order, back to back before.  The story arc is truly epic!

The Sleeping Gods Campaign, Rank 1 to 5
The King Under the Forest (Become Heroes of Vallandar),
The Darkness Before Dawn (Alternative Campaign starter),
A Shadow in the Mist (Uncover murderous plot against Baron Aldred),
Hunters Moon (Become established part of Baron Aldred's Household),
The One-Eyed God (Become seasoned Adventurers),
The Sins of the Father (Expelled from Baron Aldred's Household),
Mungoda Gold (Become wealthy Merchant Venturers),
The Greatest Prize (Become landed Gentry in Albion with a Castle).

The Elven Crystals Campaign (Rank 5 to 6)
The Gallows Wood (Become Champions of Ereworn),
The Castle of Terror (Defeat Evil Duke Darian),
Wrecker Island (Defeat a Kraken Demon),
Into the Spirit Realm (Release Ereworn from the grip of Fengris the Demon).

The Prince of Darkness (Rank 6 to 8)...

Using Google Hangouts. Not tried Google Meet yet.

We run for 3 hours a session, completing a scenario in one or two sessions.  We use real dice, honour system.

Playing 2 or 3 times a week, we began at UK Lockdown and Session 18 is 2nite.

My Female Barbarian from the Gnarwing Wastes, Bekka Eikukaan, is nearly 7th Rank.

Re: OOC Thread 7

We almost had our butts kicked and there were only 3 of them...

Strategic post mortem of the battle is in order...

1. thank goodness for the mobile field hospital
2. We only started to win by wolf pack tactics
3. Tangleroots saved our bacon
4. Aphail’s arrows were like cruise missiles and could have ended things quickly with luck
5. If our assassin had been able to surprise them it could have also quickly turned the tide ... sorry for stepping on that branch :-o
6. Giles slingstones are lethal
7. The cavalry needs to be ready
8. Easy to be wise in hindsight - who would’ve guessed an almost unkillable high level warlock was in there...
9. Bugger is Usopi going to go berko now?!  Where are Deise and Brannon with the ropes?! -)

Deise is on the way with ropes, albeit the target is now dead. Post mortm is welcome. We are a very strong warband but can be disorganised - I'm as big a culprit here as any.

We now have a number of problems: Usopi if he goes bersek, also does Caith not need to kill someone once in wolf form? Also need to figure out why the villagers are behaving as they are.
Tangleroots is a hell of a spell.

Thanks gal! :D

Yeah, I agree, they were really annoying.

Caith got all dressed up in her morally complicated magical wolfskin, ready to bite them in the arse like a proper fairy tale wolf, then realized there was no way her teeth would make the ABR, so she just ran around being a lupine healbot and arrow caddy, hoping that teamwork would save the day.

Could the PCs please stop killing captives? It's making Caith's teeth itch...

Also, 'Old Man' Bulya, this thread is now over 1000 posts, so we're due a new one boss.

You've got a healing potion on you Usopi, and a bloody sword in your hand.
Choose which magic you use wisely.

Kores has more MP than Caith does at the moment (Caith has 1MP left for a LESSER HEAL on whoever is about to die from blood loss), and Leaf's out of Earth MP AFAIK.

1. Thank you, but give please Kores a little credit too for remembering how to cast Healing spells as well as Offensive spells under combat conditions.
2. *Grins in Lupine...*
3. Damn right. Good offensive spell under any circumstances.
4. The gods of chance are frequently inclined to be inconvenient.
5. Quiet you ain't, Osric, but that's all part of being a big fighty fella in heavy armour. Deise had their own fun with 4. to contend with, so it's a group effort there from the dice.
6. Give Giles a bag of silver marbles, and see how they fly.
7. Horses do have their limits in moving around in a built urban battlefield, as do fighters in heavy armour.
8. As a wise woman once said "Expect trouble, and you'll usually find it..."
9. I hope not, but the PCs can probably rope that steer if they have to.
Guess which witch had to talk Usopi down last time...

And I'm not a guy either, though that can be difficult to spot on the internet. XD

That magical sword that makes Usopi get all shouty and aggressive about witches? It may not be the captives who'll be worrying about their lives if he starts yelling like that again.

Good on you. :)
If they've come from a place that uses torture, then perhaps Lann suggest they could save themselves a lot of suffering by just answering his questions without all the unpleasantness that they're evidently so familiar with?

He was chanting so I think  he is one of those who use torture. But they seem to be normal humans judging by how they got killed with single blows.

Warband is a bit of a muddle at times, but such is war in general.

The fine print on that wolfskin contractual obligation has already been dealt with off screen.

If you're suggesting Caith eats Blackheart? I suspect they'd give her a terrible case of indigestion, not to mention that Caith tends to take on the characteristics of what she hunts and eats to better understand the way to hunt them. Does Deise really want a blackhearted bitch to deal with?

The villagers put me in mind of sheep somehow.
Panicked sheep can be dangerous, as you already know from experience.

Usopi I'm just waiting back on a couple of deets from GM... Depending on what I'm told, it may be too late for your heal potion, we shall see! But out of character, if you do waste the pot on a 'dead or maimed' Turren, I'll make it worth your while in game. And if it heals me, well, I'm in your debt regardless.
