Giles:
In reply to Caith Cernach (msg # 932):

Would everyone be interested in doing a stocktake of enchanted weapons-
I can only offer my +1 quarter staff, no potions though some bladders filled with holy water... so nothing recommends itself for the situation right now

Caith has no enchanted weapons about her person and is conserving her MP for healing spells.

She and I would dearly like to know if being a wolf with fangs and claws by enchantment counts as attacking with an enchanted weapon for the purposes of biting the annoying shouty fella. A wolf isn't usually counted as a magical creature, but a skinchanged wolf is a rather different sort of lupine.

The holy water might do something unusual to a particularly evil warlock.

I have no idea if they'd count as an infernal creature in this Pancreator fella's eyes, but if holy water works on evil warlocks risen from the grave to wreak havoc in undeath, then it probably works on live ones too. At the very least it may distract them into wondering why they're getting waterbombed.

Speaking of bombed, Caith does have a bottle of Forge Dust.

Moralltach’s my magical weapon. +2 two handed sword with the rage effect. I’ve also got bracers that keep me conscious till -3 hp, but that’s not important for dealing damage to this guy.

On another note, I’m assuming Gat is just guarding Doron. I’m more then happy for him to stay there. Having a four legged knight guarding the Prince 24/7 seems like a good use for the dog.

I'd suggest that martyrdom is a bit hasty a resolution to even a most heated argument of faith, and that Caith has no need of a second Gatenades, thank you kindly all the same.

The original one has given her quite enough to worry about in personal philosophy already, not to mention some rather odd ideas about the new faith being rather less new that it looks on first inspection, and about executing people of unusual talents who were apparently only trying to help being rather unfair.

She does listen, just she doesn't always ask the questions that would help her understand better out of fear of offending the person questioned or annoying them by inquiring into matters best left unspoken of.

Not easy on her curiosity either in trying to be diplomatic and not let the clan down by looking like an idiot by asking too many questions.

So don't let Turren go dying on Caith OK?
She's got a billion questions to ask him, and no doubt when Usopi calms down later, he'll have few of his own to ask about theological matters as well.

In reply to Usopi Venia (msg # 944):

That's what I figured, on the grounds that Caith wasn't willing to risk Gat misunderstanding an unexpected wolf appearing in front of him, as she really doesn't want to harm Gat over a case of mistaken identity.

TBH, she really doesn't want to harm anyone if she can help it, but she's willing to make an exception on her self imposed 'No biting humans!' rule for feckers who use torture.

Osric, now Colm has moved round to Aphail and Osric, he'll drop Sword and Shield for you to pick up.

Will grab the sword and shield from Colm this round.

GM will Osric be able to do that and attack as well?  I’m hoping it’s similar to Usopi dropping mace and shield and drawing two handed sword to attack... *grin*

Re: OOC Thread 7

With mundane weapons not working and magical weapons having such bad luck our chances of success are rapidly diminishing here.
It is time to consider other more unortodox options;
Crush him with rubble as Giles mentioned,
All attack at once to smother him (literally),
Think about a planned retreat,
Bragain with him,
Surrender to him.

If we retreat then the person nearest the sleeping warrior should slit his throat.

I think those options are too early to call. We’ve started to wound him. Usopi an Uthen are yet to be wounded. Osric and Turren and both only moderately wounded. I think at least 3 of the 4 warriors are now armed with magical weapons...

I think with a few good rolls we’re going to take this guy apart... but I could be wrong!

Listen and understand!  That Dark Witch is out there! It can't be bargained with. He can't be reasoned with.
He doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear and he absolutely will not stop, ever, until we are all dead...

That was a JOKE Deise.

I am desperate right now, as a player.  Nearly all my cards on the table, nearly out of MP's, and yes, little has worked.
Just given our BEST weapon to our BEST fighter so hopeful there.  We have the Witch surrounded with 4 in melee against him?

Our fate could literally be in Kores hands!  Glad I bought him along.

Little OOC knowledge that you now know from Kores' attempt is that the enemy is apparently currently immune to Direct Attack spells.

Damn!  So Dispel Magic won't work, or will Raw Power...

Just have to batter him to death with your magic steel.

BTW, does the spent Lina Arrow still count as enchanted for Fire Arrow?
