I think he just threw a glowy card...then everything was on fire (it's hard to spot things through fire). You could kill some of the Shaken minions before they got up again, though.

Nope. Invisibility is a Seasoned power and costs a lot of points precisely because of how powerful it is in this situation. However...

He did pick up a shot glass to make a mocking toast at Black Jack, and anything he picks up that wasn't on him when he went invisible remains noticeable. So it's not the casting that would do it (he moved after he cast), but the floating shot glass that might be visible. You can make a Notice Check (-4) to try and spot that. Just remember that he gets his action before you do.

A couple questions for when I do go. Do I know where the guy who just blasted me (again) is?  Can I get to him and attack in one round, melee wise, given the distance between us on the map?

1) you have a rough idea.

2) You can move up to your Pace in squares in a round without running. Running is an Action, which means you'll need to Unshake before you can run, which means a successful Spirit roll (and a -2 to all your other Trait rolls unless you get a Raise) or spending a Chip to negate being Shaken (which counts as an automatic success and raise on the Unshake roll). Assuming you Unshake and Run, you can also  Attack, with a Multiple Action Penalty of -2. That's on top of the -6 penalty you'd already have for his Invisibility and the -1 penalty for your wound. So yes, you can do it--it's just going to be insanely hard to actually hit anything.

The best way to fight folks who are invisible are with area attacks. Failing that, a shotgun like the one Nat's got could even the odds a little.

I have an area attack I can use, though I have to be able to hit something first, before I go Boom on the invisible bad guy.

That is not a power requirement, mind you. It's just I want to kick something a lot of times.
